I get the Friday Night Blues.

Lately I have been getting the Friday Night Blues. I know, I'm supposed to get the Sunday Night Blues, right? Nope. Mine hit on a Friday. It all stems from the fact the my Fridays don't live up to my expectations because I am USELESS by the end of the day. I am just so tired that I don't have the energy to do anything I want/should do. My brain is fried so I can't study. I'm too tired to go anywhere. I don't even feel like my mind is clear enough to write a blog post- which I thoroughly enjoy doing.

Thursday nights are magical. I can barely fall asleep on Thursday nights. I'm so excited to wake up early on Friday, go to Planet Fitness and lift, have a fun day at work, and then come home and have a FABULOUS EVENING.

Except ever since work started, my Friday evenings have sucked. I have nothing planned and no energy for those non existent plans. I end up getting in a funk as soon as I get home. I lay on the couch and count down the hours until I can go to bed and it's Saturday. Because Saturday mornings are AWESOME! I can chill on the couch, drink coffee, and study- because I have replenished my brain cells over night and I'm in the position to retain new information. (Friday night study problems are not a laziness problem, they're a brain cell problem!)

Do any of you get the Friday Night Blues, or otherwise sad on a day of the week that most people are extremely happy?

PS. As I finish typing this post, it's 8:53 on Saturday morning and I am happy as a lark! I've got my lap top, coffee, highlighter, and flashcards. There are no less than 23 tabs open on my computer. I'M SET!

  1. Hmm..I cant really relate because I adore the quiet time with no obligations on Friday night. I use it rest and recharge, and if I'm feeling awesome, to clean the house so I don't have to do it over the weekend! Now the Sunday Night Blues, I can totally identify with!
