Hola, peeps!
I hope your weekend is off to a good start.
Here are my workouts for the week.
My runs were interesting... 12 miles, 10 miles, 8 miles, and 6 miles! I'm not sure I ever did that before! I didn't plan it, that's just what happened...

Saturday- 12 miles on the Appalachian Trail with my dad. We started at 850 in Marysville, ran to Scott's Farm and back. It was a great run. I was tired at the end but not achy or sore.
Sunday- Rest. I spent the whole day on my ass doing this AWESOME puzzle. THIS PUZZLE WAS SO FUN!
Monday- Lifting back @ home. I wanted to run but we had snow and ice the day before and the roads were terrible. We even had a 2 hour delay. I felt very strong during this workout.
Band asst. wide grip pull ups- 5x6
Donkey kicks- 5x20
Bicycle crunches- 5x40
Band asst. neutral grip pull ups- 5x8
Hydrants- 5x20
Row- 5x8x25lb
Stability ball sit ups- 5x15x15lb
Bicep curls- 5x8x20lb
Stability ball pull ins- 5x15
Plank w/ row- 5x8x15lb
Tuesday- 10 morning miles. Jelly woke me up at 2, so with my extra time, I tore up the neighborhood! Honestly, it was a great run. I really felt like running.
Wednesday- Lifting chest @ home. I did push ups sets while I was organizing the fridge and the pantry. (We had the day off school due to snow and ice. I love snow days!) Oh, I lifted in my jammies!
Thursday- 8 two hour delay miles. It's weird running before work when the sun is shining, but that's what happens when I get to run two hours later than normal! My neighborhood was very icy so there were a lot of loops going on.
Friday- 6 neighborhood miles. The temperature said 20 but it felt WAY colder than that! There wasn't any wind or anything. It was strange. I ended up running in my jammies. Sort of. I'll explain tomorrow!
That's Paul's Buffalo Bills beach towel!
Push ups- 10x10
Shoulder press- 5x10x20lb
Chest press- 5x10x20lb
Donkey kicks- 5x20
Hydrants- 5x20
Stability ball pull ins- 5x15
Stability ball sit ups- 5x15x15lb
Bicycle crunches- 5x40
Planks- 5x60sec
Don't worry, haircut scheduled!

Thanks to Meg Go Run reader Julie for this awesome East Pennsboro headband! It is SO WARM, the ONLY thing on my body that was sweating during this run was my head!
You ran a lot this week!! That’s amazing!
ReplyDeleteWe are recovering from our long run today, lots of ice and snow and we are big chickens when it comes to ice and snow ... we are not hard core like you.
36 miles is a bit more than normal! I do not like ice and snow either. Believe me, I run loops on streets that are clear.
DeleteOmg hi jelly! I’m a huge fan!
ReplyDeleteBest workout for me this week was one one mile run lol. Honestly it’s crazy how much cardio fitness I lost. According to my Garmin by the end of my 1 mile my heart rate was up to 168 lol!
It’s so crazy that it’s snowing and icy by you and back in the 80s every day here. Usually when it’s super cold up north we’re at least in the 70s or upper 60s. I’m so annoyed that it’s hot already!
Wow that's high! Your body will adapt quickly.
DeleteMy workouts were pretty good! No snow here thankfully. I don't know how you stay motivated to run in the snow, I think I would hibernate all winter long. But I guess if you have a winter like that every winter, ya get used to it after awhile. Love the new headband!
ReplyDeleteYes you would definitely go out and run in it. It's actually very pretty! I'm glad you had good workouts this week.
DeleteGreat week! You got some solid mileage in!
ReplyDeleteYeah, a couple longer runs instead of a bunch of medium ones!
