Hey all! I am linking up with Running on Happy and Fairytales and Fitness for Friday 5 2.0!
Today, I'm going to share what I wore to work this week! Sometimes I also include a "before" picture, just for fun, which is basically just what I look like before hair and make up.
~ Monday ~
"It was $14.99!!!!"
I call this look "It Was $14.99" because every time someone complimented my dress I had to inform them of the low price!
The blackish/greyish dress is what I would call a very thin fleece material, so it was warm but not too warm. The hemline is a little longer in the back than the front, which is a cool detail.
Back opaque tights from NY&Co - $6
Grey booties from Target, purchased with a gift card I won at a race- $23 (but only $3 with card!)
Just some silver dangles I had forever.
Avon hand me down ring from my mom
Huge, chunky necklace.
Here you can see the dress color better.
BEFORE
~ Tuesday ~
"Feels Like Jammies!"
This outfit was so comfy, I felt like I was wearing pjs.
Maroon leggings- Ross- $5.99
Black boots also from Ross (or similar store)
Black sweater from Ross- $9.99
Black tank
Chunky necklace
Chunky bangles
I accidentally wore two different earrings to work!
Oops! No one mentioned anything...
BEFORE
~ Wednesday ~
"Lots of Layers"
Stretchy grey leggings
Patterned top from JC Penny
White-ish sweater from Ross- $9.99
I don't know why I layered so many necklaces but I did.
Basic gold earrings.
Layered bracelets.
My faux suede elf boots.
I forgot to take a before picture!
~ Thursday ~
"Yee-Haw!"
So this is an outfit I never wore before.I mean, I wore all the pieces before (except the leggings) but not together. I think the dress looks a little weird so if I had a different black skirt I think I would like it more.
Plaid shirt tied at the waist over a black tank dress.
Green leggings, black knee high boots.
Wrap bracelet
Avon ring from my mom
Black rose earrings
Green leggings from Charlotte Ruse- $4.99
I thought they said $1.99, that's why I bought them. But they rung up $4.99 and they I noticed I read the tag wrong. I had already waited in a long line so I just bought them anyway.
Before!
~ Friday ~
"Feels Like Jammies Part 2"
At the time of writing this post, I did not wear this outfit yet. But it's the outfit I INTEND to wear on Friday! It is super comfy and warm.
Grey sweater from Goodwill- $3.99
Pink fleece lined leggings from Charlotte Ruse- $4.99
Grey elf boots
Basic jewelry:
HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love the variety of your outfits! My favorite outfit will be featured later today on my #FridayFashionFlairp post ;-)
ReplyDeleteOoh can't wait to see!
DeleteI love the dress you wore on Monday! That style dress is always flattering. I need to get a long sleeve version like that one you have!
ReplyDeleteI'm totally rocking the "feels like pjs" look today with a big cardigan at work. Love it for a Friday!
I think the dress is an A-line, is that right? I read that A-lines are flattering on any body type. Enjoy your comfy Friday! Seriously, it feels like it should be a crime to be this comfortable at work!
DeleteYou know I love these posts! You put some great outfits together! I love anything that is comfy but still stylish/wear to work!
ReplyDeleteI also love using pieces I already have in different ways. I recently discovered that navy blue and peach are "in"! Two colors I would not have thought to wear together but it really works!
I would have never thought of Navy and peach either! Those are two colors I don't have in my closet. I really have nothing that is navy.
DeleteActually, I guess it's coral, not peach. Coral is the new peach,,,haha. I do remember you saying you don't wear Navy.
DeleteI love your outfits! I'm not a huge leggings wearer but have started wearing them more when it's chilly here. I like them with boots but not any other shoes and they can be warmer than jeans. My favorite thing is the necklace you're wearing with the $14.99 dress!
ReplyDeleteI cannot remember where I got that necklace but I have had it for awhile. I think leggings with boots are flattering on everyone.
DeleteI love how you accessorise! I tend to be so lazy when it comes to that! Great outfits - my favourite? Definitely the "It was 14.99!" :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks! I love that dress too. This is the first time I wore it and I've been saving it so I had something "new" to wear in the winter.
DeleteOk, while im not all that into fashion I am into a deal and you take the prize! I love this. Coming from a rich little town I get so disgusted by the amount of money some of my female friends drop on cloths. Great bargain hunting!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Patrick! I am always looking for a deal! Ross, Marshall's, Etc tends to have quality made items at a fraction of the price.
DeleteI wore a good variety, until I moved to Boulder. You mean I can wear jeans every day??? Yes! I do wear dresses in the summer, but jeans makes it easy in the winter.
ReplyDeleteWhen we go on vacation I love to dress up, but no one dresses up in CO or Northern CA!
DeleteI like your Tuesday outfit the best! it looks comfy ! I really admire that you take the time to match accessories and find different shoes.
ReplyDeleteThanks Ana! I do like shoes.
DeleteMy work outfits would bore you to tears. Pretty much every day I wear a black skirt, tights, and a grey sweater of some sort! It makes my clothes selections so easy, and since I'm only in the office 3 days a week, I feel like I can just recycle selections every week if I wanted! I have a similar style dress like your grey one, but I have never received a compliment on it :( I'm starting to think it might be ugly on me, but no family member wants to break the news to me. ha! You do a great job with the accessories. Love the big chunky collection of necklaces!
ReplyDeleteAw no I bet it doesn't look ugly on you! Listen, we rarely see pics of you in "real" clothes, just running clothes. I suggest you do a What I Wore to Work post. :)
DeleteThat dress is AMAZING! $14.99??! Super cute.
ReplyDeleteThanks! Gotta love Ross.
DeleteI love your style! How awesome that you can find great stuff for so cheap.
ReplyDeleteYou're way more stylish than I am... I pretty much wear jeans, long-sleeves and a fleece jacket with boots or sneakers to work everyday (because I can ;)).
ReplyDeleteLove the grey dress.
Sounds so comfy! :)
Deleteso cute!! all your outfits!! I would do something like this but it would always look the same :D jeans. old black top. cardigan or bolero. some type of scarf. running shoes. I have to say though, I have been adding earrings lately, since I reorganized my jewelry :)
ReplyDeleteWell maybe do a post about what jewelry you wear. :)
DeleteCute outfits! I need to remember to wear accessories, but I feel like I'm do pretty good just getting out of the house in the morning with 2 matching shoes :-)
ReplyDeleteHey I couldn't even get my earrings to match!
