Tour de Sushi!

Related Posts Plugin for WordPress, Blogger...

This Christmas, Paul and I agreed not to get each other any gifts. Instead, we are going to spend January and February doing a Tour de Sushi!

Tour de Sushi is where we are allowing ourselves to get sushi once a week (GUILT FREE) as long as we try a new place each time. It will be fun to discover new restaurants and spend time together.

We may substitute sushi for Thai food because there is a Thai place I really want Paul to try. So maybe it's Tour de Sushi/Thai!?

Local peeps: We cannot go to Tokyo Diner or Akita's since we have been there before, but anywhere else is fair game! If you have suggestions, leave them in the comments!
If you could do a Tour de "something", what would your "something" be?

  1. Have you tried Asian Fusion? I think they have weird hours now, but it used to be our Sushi place, before we found Tokyo Dinner. If you are willing to travel a bit, Kennett Square has this AMAZING Sushi place called Lilly's. It is delicious, and their tempura sweet potato roll is DIVINE!!

Also, I LOVE Pad Thai in the Carlisle Pike, their basil chicken rice is amazing! but I don't like their pad thai. Chalits Bistro is also amazing, a bit pricey, but worth it. I love the Pad Thai from Bangkok Wok... ok, so I have more recs for Thai food....

    1. Are you thinking of Fusion Fire? If so, I was there a long time ago before I liked sushi. I don't even know what I ordered! I actually never had sweet potato in a sushi roll but I feel like I should try it at some point. We went to Bangkok 56 last night and I finally tried Pad Tai. Very, very good! Looking forward to trying it at other places as well. Thanks for all the recs!

  2. I love this idea. Rick and I made a goal one year to try a new restaurant every month. We tend to get into a rut and go to the same places over and over. If we are going to "think big" I would love to do a Tour de baseball stadiums around the country.

    1. Would you want to actually tour the stadium or just go see a game? When we went to the Broncos stadium and took the tour, I found it FASCINATING, even though I don't like football at all.
