Vlog: CrimeCon!

I leave for CrimeCon on Friday! In today's Vlog, I'm going to talk about the different sessions I am going to attend at this three day event!

Are there any true crime cases that really interest you?
Which of these sessions would you most like to attend?
What do you think of Nancy Grace?

  1. This sounds like so much fun! We have an escape room here in town but I have never done it. I think you need like 8 people to do it.
I would be most interested in the FBI profiling sesssion, or heck any of them! I do hope you get to meet Nancy Grace, and Yes, Dramatic is a great way to describe her. Crossing my fingers you get chosen to be interrogated...lol.
Oh, I have always wanted to be on a jury. I remember when I was in college, we had to visit the court house and sit in on a murder trial. It was so long ago so I don't remember the details but I know it made me want to go to random court cases on my days off,,haha, which I never did. So anyway, I think you need to do a blog post on why you think you would never get selected for jury duty. I'm very interested to hear why, cuz isn't jury selection just random unless you feel you have biased information about the case? Have fun Megan!

    1. Yes I think 8 is the right number of people. There will be 8 people in our group but I will only know my cousin. I hope the other people in our group are cool! I'm sure they will be, they're at CrimeCon!

Thank you for hoping I get interrogated! :) :) :)

I should definitely go to a court case sometime. I suppose I don't need to be on a jury to to see a court case.

I will definitely do a post about why I don't think they would want me on a jury! Jury summons are random, but when lawyers do jury selection, they can strike people from the jury because they don't want you for whatever reason- bias is one of them. So like, if there is a case where it's a cop's word against the defendent's word, they're not going to want a cop or the wife of a cop on the jury because they would be afraid they would be bias. Things like that. Defense attorneys SOMETIMES don't want educated people on juries who understand the science. I'll write more about it! :)

  2. I've never been called for jury duty either but I would like to be. One of my friends got called a couple weeks ago and she said jury selection was so boring. By the end of the day she had not even been interviewed and they told her she didn't have to come back because they had enough people in line before her. How annoying!

You will have so much fun in the panic room. My office did one last summer for team building and it was stressful but a lot of run. It's interesting to see how rises as a leader! I thought I would have been great at the panic room because I'm analytical, but our art director ended up being the MVP because he could think really creatively.

I hope you get interrogated! That would be fun to read about. Will you vlog while you're at CrimeCon? It would be cool to see bits and pieces and hear what you think in real time! I'm sure you can't film in sessions etc. but it would be cool to see whatever you can film! Then again you probably want to go and just immerse yourself in the experience without worrying about vlogging!

    1. I'm sure to be being on a jury seems a lot more glamorous than it actually is! I'm sure there's so much boredom and down time.

I'm not sure if I would rise to being the leader or not. I don't think I'd be afraid to throw out ideas, I guess it would depend who's in the room with me. If everyone is hanging back I wouldn't mind taking charge (TEACHER!) but on the other hand I am totally fine if it seems like there are other people who are good for that role.

I definitely thought about vlogging at crime con but I don't know how to edit stuff like you do. Maybe I can convince my cousin to do a vlog with me at the end of the night where we maybe each answer 3 questions... Like, favorite part, most surprising part, and best people watching of the day? Hahaha!
