Weekend Wrap Up!

Happy Monday!

2 more Mondays until Thanksgiving! 6 more Mondays until Christmas!

The best part about that countdown is that it's not just a countdown to the holidays, but a countdown to seeing family!

Friday went downhill really fast. At about 1:30pm, when I was just in the middle of singing On Top Of Spaghetti with the first grade students, a killer sore throat came on just like that (snaps fingers). When I told Paul of my plight, he said, "Well, On Top of Spaghetti is a tough song,"

Unfortunately, the sore throat was accompanied by a headache and an all over lethargic feeling. I had no energy to do any of the fun things Paul and I had planned for Friday night. We ended up watching AHS, Homeland, and then I went to bed at 7:45pm... and slept straight through until 7:45am on Saturday morning!

Saturday morning was cold! We have not turned the heat on yet!

This is me, sad that the heat is not on!
"We are basically in survival mode," Paul said, when I apologized for looking like this all day.

On Saturday, I still felt really crappy- sore throat, very lethargic, foggy head... but I didn't want to embrace the sickness. I had a big, long night ahead of me, so I just wanted to power on as normal as possible.

I had no expectations for my run. I planned to go super slow and easy. Apparently, this is my super slow/easy/sick pace nowadays!

Saturday night was the big night- DANCING WITH THE EAST PENNSBORO STARS! Here is the video, and then I am going to bomb you with a million pictures!

VIDEO!

My awesome dance partner, Jason!

My awesome partner for life, Paul!

The best parents in the world!

The short story is: I had A LOT of fun, the East Pennsboro Education Foundation raised A LOT of money, we didn't win, but everyone liked our dance! It was a fun night! And afterwards, me and all my crew went out for yummy food. I was starving because I can't eat before a night like this!

OH, and this 32 year old got CARDED, which means I am going to wear that pink sash in my hair every day for the rest of my life!

My 4th Grade Chorus performed Footloose and were WONDERFUL! I cannot post photos and video of that because I don't think I am allowed to post pics/vid of my students on social media. BUT they looked really cute and gave it ALL THEY HAD! GO EPE 4TH GRADERS!!!!!

I still wasn't feeling that great on Sunday so I embraced the idea of just staying in and RELAXING! The morning was spent catching up on blogs. Jelly loves to help...

As the day wore on, I started to feel a little better and went for a run.

My IT Band was pretty tight last week, so after taking several rests days, I have been stretching/foam rolling for 15 minutes before AND after my run.
It takes almost as much time as it takes to run! But it definitely helps.

The rest of the day was spent cooking and laying on the couch with Paul while he watched football. The perfect Sunday, if you ask me!

Tell me something awesome about your weekend!
Do you stretch before or after your run? (Or both!)
Did you turn the heat on yet?

  9. Aww, your snuggly outfit is too cute!! My dad hated raising the heat when we lived in Ohio and we would wear like 3 sweatshirts to keep warm!

I love your video! It's nice to see bloggers "in person" that way since we usually only see them through their writing!
