How Chrissy and I are Alike

When Christmas is woofing down his food and crying for more, I always joke that he takes after his "mommy". (That's me!) But the truth is, Christmas and I are a lot alike...

1. We both go to the bathroom first thing in the morning.

2. We both love to be warm! Christmas lays in sun squares and I wear my robe!

3. Both Christmas and I crave attention. It is true. However, we are both extremely independent and like to be loners. So we like attention, but only on our own terms!

4. We don't like people on our turf. The neighbor cat, Burrito, likes to walk the perimeter of our house. This is why Christmas pees in the corner. When the neighbor kids were walking through our yard as a short cut to the bus stop, I just sent Paul out to yell at them.

Burrito Watch!

Burrito hunting!

5. We love to eat. I mean, LOVE to eat.

6. We are both very determined. I wish you could have seen Christmas claw through a box of Cheez-Its. He is a marvel.

7. Christmas and I wear our emotions on our sleeve. Christmas cannot hide the way he is feeling and neither can I!

This is his "Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease!" face.

What do you and your pet have in common?

  1. Two peas in a pod! So very cute.

Macy and I are both very scheduled/routine people. I am sort of thinking I made her this way but we can just say we were meant to be together because we are so much alike!

    1. I think animals like schedules. Maybe Macy made you like that. :)

  2. You were made for each other! Funny how pets and owners become so similar ;)

Archie and I are alike because we both bite people when we're annoyed hehe!

    1. We were TOTALLY made for each other. He is so dang smart and knows how to manipulate me by tugging on my heart strings! Plus, he really still has "animal" in him, and like I said, pees in the corner to mark his territory. Some people would get rid of their cat for this, but my philosophy is, HE'S A CAT! It is his natural instinct! You can't blame him for being something he just is NOT, you know? I mean, we bought Feliway, and we watch him and of course discourage him if we see him sniffing around or something, but if we're not home and he sees Burrito, he's gonna do whatever the hell he wants, and we can't do anything about it. He's an animal.

  3. OMG Chrissy's head in the cup! I get so nervous when I see Cecil do that, I'm always afraid he's going to suffocate in his quest to get a drink!

Cecil and I both really enjoy head and back rubs from Adam. What would we do without him? haha

    1. Paul actually took that picture! It's so old... it's from the apartment I lived in before we got married. Circa 2007!

  4. Haha I don't think he needed help- Paul actually took that pic years ago and it's one of my favorite pics of Chrissy because it just SO encapsulates what he is all about- FOOD!!!

  5. Looks like you found a way to clean those difficult glasses! I take after my dogs in the LOVE of naps. I am jealous of them laying in the sun all day...
