Weekly Workouts!

Just a "normal" week for me except my Saturday 10 miler on the treadmill! Today I was supposed to run trail, but there was sleet this morning and I can't go later because I have rehearsal. Tomorrow I will run trail and that will make up for all the treadmill miles I had to do these past two weeks!

Saturday- 10 miles on the treadmill. I wanted to either run long or fast. I ended up running semi long and for a couple miles I picked up the pace. During my run I watched part of the movie "Before I Fall", Lady Gaga's Superbowl Halftime Show, and I listened to The Book of Mormon soundtrack and the Godspell soundtrack. Dang, treadmill running AND listening to music? Who am I?

Sunday- 6 miles outsideIt was 14 degrees. Guys, 14 degrees is WARM to me these days! I was bundled up (not as bundled as my 3 degrees run) and I was actually really warm the whole time. 14 degrees is totally doable.

Monday- Lifting back/chest at home. I woke up at 2:30am and never fell back asleep... ugh. I wanted to run but I ran 22 miles within the past three days so I thought it would be best to rest.

Tuesday- 6 neighborhood miles. This was my first run OUTSIDE before WORK since before CHRISTMAS! It was a sweltering 25 degrees! I don't deserve such lovely temperatures!

Wednesday- 6 morning miles. 28 degrees. What!?

Thursday- 6 morning miles. 38 degrees. WHAAAAT!????

Friday- Lifting back/chest at home. It was nearly 60 degrees and I totally could have run in a tank and shorts, but I had reached my 5 days of running for the week and that's what I like to stick with. Oh well, there will be more 60 degree days for me someday!

How were your workouts this week?

  1. It was 63 degrees in New Jersey yesterday how crazy it's that warm in January! The Book of Mormon soundtrack is so catchy. My workouts this week included a speed workout, lactate threshold run, recovery run and I finished 7 miles about 2 hours ago which was nice.

  2. Weather wise, I would have had GREAT workouts this week (I was on my bike outside Sunday morning) however I broke my toe Sunday night (boo). So I had 2 complete rest days, 2 days of upper body weights, yesterday I got in the pool and then felt wonderful and today I was able to spin and row so happy that didn't hurt my foot. Gonna be awhile until I can do any workouts on my feet so I am bummed.

  3. Good for you for sticking to your 5 days of running! I had a sucky running week last week, but I'm back at it this week. So yeah that!
