Saturday- An awesome 6 miler in Millersburg with my brother! We ran some hills and pushed the pace. I loved spending time with him.

You did the right thing by not running. If you feel more excited NOT to run, don't. Life's too short to do an exercise you don't want to do.

    1. I totally agree! I do hope I *want* to run next week though!

  2. No sense in pushing if you're not feeling it. What is "swole" at planet fitness? I'm not down with the lingo...lol

    1. It's a totally douche-y thing to say. Swole I think means "swollen" like your muscles are popping. :)

  3. I'm actually starting to ramp up my mileage again a bit since the marathon is in something like 5 weeks (eeeeeek!!!). I'm sure I will be a superstar after running only 16 miles as my long run (nope, totally not confident about that part of the plan!). Still running no more than 5 days and seeing how I survive. I can't make it to the gym today so I'm bummed that I'll miss doing my arm workout. I know I could do it at home, but I also know I won't want to workout at all after 5pm!! You were getting all ripped for the beach, eh? :) Love the Oreos mid week. That is a rare treat around my house. We would inhale them within 5 mins of their arrival.

    1. I hope running 5 days works better for you? You know I am not doing the marathon right? I didn't want you to think that *I* thought a 12 mile week was good for marathon training. :)

  4. Aren't you glad to just be running for fun?

    Swole. LOL!

  5. I hope this de-load from running will help ignite your passion about it again! So, you ran as much in 2 days that I ran all week (hello 5K runner -- LOL). I am in awe of all you "runners only" get out there so many days per week. If I didn't have my cycling and swimming (and weights, of course) I would be more than over it.

    1. Well I wouldn't call myself a runner only since I do lift and I like that. I wish I could cycle- it bothers my ITB!

    2. that damn ITB--keeps you from doing such a fun sport!

    1. I do actually need more energy to lift than to go for a run!

  8. Sounds like a good week even though you didnt run that much! I'm glad you got in that good run with your brother. Have a great time at the beach!

    1. Thanks Lisa!

Yes, the run with my bro was the highlight of my week!

  9. So, my "REST!" was followed by lots of gluten free thin mint cookies, which are my new obsession. When I have gf Oreos I literally eat the entire package in one sitting. It's awful! haha

    1. There is no way to only eat 2-3 oreos OR thin mints!

  10. You lifted FOUR days last week. That's a GREAT week! I bet it felt so good.

Adam let me pick him up twice last week, and on my bday he let me walk him across the living room! I should have added that to my training recap!

    1. Aw you should have included it AND vlogged it! He is such a good man, hang on to him!

  11. Okay I know this is weird but I HATE running out the beach! Too many people, too many cars, nowhere "chill" to run.
