Weekly Workouts

Today I am running a 25k in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginny! The real feel is supposed to be 97. YIKES!

Well the stomach bug had me down and out almost all week...

Here's how the workouts, or lack of workouts, went down in the week before the race...

Saturday- 5 miles. I felt great and my hammy did not hurt as the day went on. Maybe I'm over this dumb hammy thing?

Sunday- SICK. REST. Omg it was a terrible stomach bug.

Monday- SICK. REST. I stayed home from work. Still not feeling great but the puking was over.

Tuesday- REST. The goal was to hydrate and start eating so I would have some energy.

Wednesday- REST. I wanted to run before work but hunger pains had me up into the wee hours of the morning. I'm hungry but nothing sounds appetizing. Without food or sleep, I knew running would be stupid.

Thursday- 5 miles! I was finally able to eat something substantial and I got a good night of sleep. This run was magical. Hey, Spring! Megan is BACK!

Friday- Hiking in Shenendoah National Park! Pictures coming in my wrap up!

How were your workouts this week?

  1. Good luck with the race today! I am glad you're feeling better. It sucks to be sick but hopefully that gave the hammie some healing time as well and it will be 100% now?

    1. Yes that is what I was thinking! It forced me to do absolutely nothing for 4 days, so maybe hammy would be 100%. Turns out it didn't bother me at all during the race or after, so I think the hammy situation is over. I am sooooo sore otherwise though lol!
