So Embarrassing!

A couple weeks ago, Ana @ Mother, Hike, Run, Repeat wrote a post highlighting the things about her life that she would be embarrassed to have come out if she was investigated for a crime! I loved reading her post and she graciously was okay with me doing a post of my own on the subject!

So, if I were investigated for a crime, what would be some of the embarrassing things that could come out about me in the investigation?

1. My SAT score was very low. <1000. I was not very academic in high school and my SAT score is pretty embarrassing. I did redeem myself with my college GPA... which was 3.6 for undergrad and 4.0 for grad school. (I had to brag about that or else you would forever think I was stupid.)

2. I watch a lot of crime shows and my DVR is set to record them all. Dateline, 48 Hours, 20/20... If I were investigated by the police, they would think I was studying how to get away with a crime!

3. My internet history could be pretty damning too. All those Jodi Arias interviews and JonBenet message boards I visit... It wouldn't look good. Here are some of the weird things I googled in the past couple days...

did patsy ramsey take a polygraph
Madonna poses naked 2016
what causes hiccups
gypsy blancharde
what is balsam?
where is Toledo?
the berenstain bears
is jello gluten free?
is you raise me up a religious song?

5. My house smells like cat pee most of the time.

6. I only own 3 bras.
Your turn! What would investigators find out about you that you would be embarrassed about?

How many bras do you own?

Did you do better on your SATs or in college?

  1. We also Dvr all those crime shows like Dateline, 20/20, etc. Right now i'm intrigued with the mom from Oregon that went missing while jogging but was found on Thanksgiving. I KNEW there was more to that story right away. Something there's just not right!

  2. I only own 3 bras too! Plus a strapless one but I don't think that counts. And I only wear one of them- thats probably the worst part.

  3. I own a lot of bras but I probably only wear three of them because they are my favorites :). I have The Comfortable One, The One That Lifts, and The One That Can Be Worn Under White Shirts.

I did well on the SATs and in undergrad/grad school, but I have very little practical knowledge. I don't really know how to change a tire, I just learned how to bake a cake this year and I don't really understand how the internet works!

    1. Well as you are aware, I don't know how the internet works either! :) I'm not sure what practical knowledge I have... I can't change a tire but my parents get me AAA every year so I feel like it would be a waste of time to learn how to do that. ;)

    2. Agreed! My mom renews my AAA every year for Valentine's Day (how cute is that) so I feel good about my lack of tire changing knowledge!

I also don't know which TV remote does what. Sometimes I have to wait for Adam to change the channel :/

  4. I didn't take the SAT, I only took the ACT since that was all that was required for in state application. I think if investigators came into my house they would see that I am really good at minimalism in most areas of my house and I am super organized. I do, however, have 5 jars of peanut butter, 3 coffee creamers and 4 containers of hummus. Why?!? It's not like these are hard to acquire or that it's hard to see when you are running low (unlike a propane tank for the gas grill). It's so weird that I do this with a few items (I have a few beauty items I stock pile too) but for some reason it gives me calm to have a very neat and tidy house, but a huge stock pile of foods & facial products I love. I really don't get into crime shows but really love "where are they now" show by Oprah (fun to see where all the stars and memorable guests from her show are!). Oh, and I own probably 20 bras which again, totally unnecessary since we do a load of laundry pretty much every day....sigh.

    1. I too enjoy a tidy house. It is basically ALWAYS tidy because like you said, I feel like my life is in order! I don't think it's weird to have a tidy house yet stockpile items that you will eventually ALWAYS need more of. It saves time taking multiple trips to the store. Before school started this year, I went to Dollar General and LOADED up on toiletries and beauty supplies. It is SO nice to not have to go to the store every time we run out of shampoo or toothpaste!

  5. I've always wondered about Josh Groban's song. I used to only own 3 bras but my friend recently got a boob job and she gave me all of her bras. Apparently she has a bra fetish, because now I have two full drawers full of fancy bras and no more room for the rest of my clothes.

    1. Wow you hit the bra lottery!

Apparently it is a religious song. I was thinking about doing it for choir this year.

  6. You are very smart, The SATs don't mean anything. My score was low... 970 or so. I blame it on not growing up speaking English.

I just thought of adding this one the other day ... I own about 30 totebags, because back in the day, I was in a constant search for the best tote bag I could find. A lot have been donated to Goodwill, but I keep finding more!!

I have about 10 bras, some fancy and one that is ugly and comfy.

    1. Well good job because I got a 980 and I grew up speaking English!:)

Was is it that the comfy bras are ugly?

That's a lot of tote bags! Is that for groceries?

  7. And if I go missing, I will make sure my family knows you Googled my hometown. hahaha!
Good fitting beige bras for the win!

    1. Lol!! I don't know why I didn't know where Toledo was. I was thinking Kansas but that's Topeka...

  8. So I don't own any bras, but I guess that's to be expected.
I look at the internet like I look at microwaves. I have no clue how they work, but I know how to use them to get things hot. And knowing how to change a tire isn't a great life skill. I got a flat on Monday, but I still called AAA. They had the jack and the power lug wrench that makes it a 5 minute job. If I had been struggling with the Honda supplied jack and manual wrench, I would probably still be in the parking lot. Best $10 tip I ever spent.

    1. Yay for AAA! You make a good point, there is no way I'd be able to change a tire faster than the pros!

  9. I hate tests like the SATs. I remember thinking how unfair it was to boil everything down to ONE test. And now we give tests like that every year to every student in every grade. When I think about how little I felt the SATs mattered and now I think about how much pressure we put on students for state exams I feel really sick and sad.

I own more than 3 bras, but I rarely wash them, so there's that!

    1. Hahaha I don't wash mine much either unless I sweat. I sweat at work but I don't wear them to work a lot.
