Christmas is right around the corner! (As if you didn't notice, right?) This holiday season has been such a whirlwind. I blame the fact that Thanksgiving was late this year, which made for a lot less time to prepare for Christmas.
I love Christmas, but honestly, I have been having a hard time getting into it this time. However, here is my obligatory, "All Things Christmas" post for you. Because even though I haven't been as into it as normal... I'm still more into it than the average person!

This ornament I have had since before I can even remember!
These tacky knick knacks I put on my piano. They were my mom's, and they were always displayed on the piano for Christmas. Now she gave them to me and I put them on my piano!
These decorations I made using cheapo frames, scrap booking paper, and music from an old hymnal. (Yes, I ripped page out of a hymnal. But it was to display them, so that makes it okay, right?)

Wrapping presents. Some people hate wrapping presents but I love it! And I think I'm pretty good at it...

The only reason we went to this place to begin with was because it was the closest place to our house
and we were worried about the tree flying off the top of our little car! We went 5 years in a row, but....
No big tree for us this year. Just this tiny one, thanks to our kitty, Christmas, who likes to eat pine needles.

The Family Stone is so good but that was one of the few movies where I cried AT the theater. Usually I can hold back and only cry at home during movies, but I couldn't help myself. I watched Love, Actually the other night and I forgot how good that movie is. The only Christmas song I like is Do They Know It's Christmas. OK Baby It's Cold Outside is kind of cute. :) No traditions. I make it up as I go along!
ReplyDeleteYou totally inspired me to watch Love Actually again! I forgot that was a Christmas movie. It's cheesy, but good. Dang I wish The Family Stone was on Netflix. You know what movie made me BAWL? Stepmom.
