Since I have nothing scheduled to post today.... you get something random!
I will be honest, I have been feeling a little out of sorts, not like myself, busy but bored at the same time... it's just all weird in Megan-Land right now. And all the things I could blog about just not fit for the blog. So there's that.
Things that are fit for the blog...

On Monday, I went to a music teacher conference in Lancaster. I enjoyed it so much! I attended a session on teaching recorder and on folk dancing. I am so excited to take back the teaching strategies I learned at these sessions and apply them at my school. Don't you wish you got to attend conferences like this!? I want to see if my school will buy me this bad ass tenor recorder...
I had a good meeting today with my principal regarding our elementary instrumental program. I am so thankful to have a principal who can meet on short notice and really truly cares about our school.
PT is still going well. My hip flexors are super tight but I keep stretching and stretching them. I'm still doing a bunch of exercises to engage my lower abs, get my glutes firing, and tilt my pelvis forward. I am now graduating to some more challenging exercises (split squats, glute bridges with weights, longer planks) so I am excited to get to the gym this morning and go through my program!
I just hope the split squats don't bother my ITB/knee!
My exercises are time consuming. I have to get up at 5 and be at the gym by 5:30 so I can go all my PT exercises and my "normal" workout before work. But because I am confident the exercises will help me, it is worth the time spent.

And that's my short post today... Sorry ya'all. Megan-Land is just crazy now.
What sort of conferences do you go to, if any? (I do one a year!)
How are things in your land today?

How did the squats go? Is your ITB OK? Things in Colorado are great. We had snow all day yesterday but it was wet and didn't stick around (which I love!). Had a lovely swim today and will be heading to the mountains tomorrow so pretty excited about that!
ReplyDelete^^^ Same questions as Susan! :)
DeleteThe split squats felt fine! I did them this am at the gym as well and so far so good. I really can't believe it. Snow already!? I bet it was pretty. :) HAVE FUN IN THE MOUNTAINS. I am jealous. :) The closest I can get to CO these days is drinking coffee from my CO mug...
DeleteGlad the squats went well! My son would love that recorder. I think he has probably already asked me to buy that for him actually! It's an odd Thursday for me because I had to work, due to day off work on Monday (holiday), but I'm busy so the day is flying by!
ReplyDeleteGlad your day is flying too! I had a second to come in and comment because everything on my to do list is waiting on someone else or some other thing to happen before I can do it!
