On Tuesday I wasn't feeling well, so I spent the day giving myself some TLC. Here's my day by the numbers!
Number of cups of coffee: 2
Number of wedding rings found: 1
Thank you, Tom!!!!
Number of Advil popped: 6
Number of pumpkin cookies eaten: 1.5
Number of puzzles done: 1 (I needed a tape measure. Have you ever needed a tape measure for a puzzle?)
Number of glasses of sangria: 1
Number of broken grills taken from our roadside trash: 1
Number of calories in my insanely delicious dinner: Who the hell knows, but it was really good!
Hours of CNN watched: One billion.
How do you take care of yourself when you're not feeling well?
What channel or website do you like for your news?
Im glad you found your ring! When I am sick I switch to tea instead of coffee. Sangria is an interesting choice for a sick day! Hopefully it helped:) I hope you are feeling better!
ReplyDeleteA little bit of sangria never hurt anyone. ;) Tea instead of coffee sounds like a good choice!
DeleteThat 11 hours of sleep is so impressive! I bet that felt great. Super happy you found your ring. That had to have made you feel better, right? For news we watch the local channel + CNN.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I am proud of my 11 hours haha. Who are your favorite CNN hosts? I Like Anderson of course and Berman and Bolduan. Oh and Brianna Keeler is the shit!
DeleteMm, sleeping 11 hours sounds FANTASTIC. I can't wait to get that kind of sleep on Sunday.
ReplyDeleteThose pumpkin cookies look SO good and soft. I've been in a baking mood; I'm going to probably bake a bit Friday evening to help myself relax before Saturday's race.
Why did you need a tape measure for the puzzle?!
When the weather gets colder, I get in a baking mood! Although I guess that doesn't happen in FL! The pumpkin cookies are the best- they're the ones I was telling you about that my friend made with gluten free flour and they were still good. Here is the recipe: http://meggorun.blogspot.com/2013/10/the-best-pumpkin-cookies-you-will-ever.html
DeleteOh tape measure was because I couldn't get the edge of the puzzle and I couldn't tell what the heck was wrong! So I had to measure to see if it was the right length. :)
DeleteHow'd you manage to stop with 1/2 cookie?
ReplyDeleteOur trash is also collected curbside but they've been slow this week with hurricane recovery and all. I've seen some nice stuff sitting out before though in some areas. I can't believe what some people throw away...
People do throw away perfectly good items! My SIL actually used to go around on trash day and get stuff to sell on craigslist!
DeleteI'm so glad you (or Tom) found your ring!
ReplyDeleteKudos to you for only stopping at 1.5 cookies!!!
Hope you are feeling better!
Thank girl. :)
DeleteGlad you found your ring! My game plan for feeling sick: laying around on the couch, and making sure ALL of my family members are well aware that I'm not feeling good (and I'm not doing ANYTHING). Sympathy is the best medicine :)
ReplyDeleteYES I am sure as a mom telling your family to not approach you for anything is so key!
DeleteI hope all of that helped you feel better! I'm very glad you found your ring! Only two cups of coffee?
ReplyDeleteI am so going to have Sangria on Sunday!!
I get all my news from NPR, I just refuse to believe something until it's on NPR.
I freaking love NPR. :) What's going on Sunday that sangria is involved?
DeleteI switch to hot tea and soup when I'm not feeling better. They're comfort food, and always makes me feel a little bit better if I'm under the weather.
ReplyDeleteMmmm I love comfort food. Soup is so good. I will have to make some now that it's getting colder.
DeleteI love that you took a photo of the guy taking your grill. HA! We call them barbeques up here. Did you know that? I think you guys use the term "BBQ" as a noun for the actual food you make on the BBQ (grill) while we call the actual grill the BBQ. Ha. So confusing. I hope you're feeling better!
ReplyDeleteI ran to grab my phone so I could get the shot! Having a smartphone has improved my life significantly. :) I did not know you call grills "BBQ"s! We say BBQ if we are actually making BBQ chicken or something like that OR we call the EVENT a BBQ. So for instance, tomorrow night some friends are coming over for burgers and hot dogs but we are calling it a BBQ.
DeleteOh no, feel better! I am having a sick day today. People always drive by and take our trash and refundable cans.
ReplyDeleteI hope you are resting up from your race!
DeleteHAHAHAHAHA sounds like the perfect sick day to me!
