So gorgeous!
My pace was a little faster than last week but that is because I only did half the distance. I definitely plan to run slower during the marathon.
10 miles closer to Boston!
I think the Conewago Trail is going to be my "new" place to do my longer runs. It's flat and soft, which I think will be good for my recovery. Also, I love trail running, yet I don't feel like my knee is ready for it. This rail trail is the best of both worlds- it encompasses the beautiful scenery of the trail but has easier terrain.
In 15 days, I will be running the Boston Marathon! I can't freaking believe it!
Have you ever run on a rail trail?
Tell me about your run yesterday!
Wahooo on your ten miles!!! Looks like a great place to run. Our trail is still ice/snow covered and I'm still running on pavement. I am truly blaming this for my issues I'm having. I've usually been back into the trail by now. :S 15 days!!!
ReplyDeleteThe trail is so good to your body. You will be back on it soon, I hope! After Boston, you can relax. No more worrying!
DeleteGreat run! Yesterday I did 7 miles before 6am because of my husband had to work all day and I had to get it done before my son woke up. It was more mentally tough than anything... my longest run in a year and a half!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your long run... and before 6am! I admire your determination to push through the mental toughness to get it done so early!
DeleteI am so excited for you that I feel like I'm running Boston, lol. I can't wait to hear your recap afterwards. :-)
ReplyDeleteYay!!! Oh it will be a long one... 3 parts... 4 parts... 5 parts... ??? :)
DeleteThat trail is so gorgeous. I'm beyond jealous. I'm so tired of concrete!
ReplyDeleteYou know, as much as I complain about PA weather, I have to be thankful for the gorgeous trails. Although I wish I had your weather AND the trails. :)
DeleteI have even closer trails but they are legit trails- rocks, roots, etc! Like the one close to your house. :) I love all that stuff too, I'm just not ready for it I don't think!
ReplyDeleteThat trail looks awesome to run on! I'm so glad you are able to run Boston I can't wait to read your recaps!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Courtney!
DeleteI can't believe how COLD it looks in your first picture! It's been in the mid-80s here (and I'm not bragging, it's been way too hot for this early in the year)!
ReplyDeleteI totally agree it looks freezing for some reason but it just must be the lighting! It was actually about 45 degrees but a bit windy. Today it was about 55! Soooo nice. The thing about PA is that we have really cold winters but in the summer it is SCORCHING. We get everything 'round these parts.
DeleteConewago was always my favorite place to run, felt it was better for me knee also! here is Florida there are many nature trails with shell paths surrounded by grenery, water and many of the Florida birds, cranes, pelicans... so peaceful... definitely my zen place!
ReplyDeleteWow the trails you have sound so wonderful! It's like you're on vaycay but you freaking LIVE there! :)
