FUN HAWAI'I PLANS!!! (Part 2)

With all the cold weather, I keep thinking about Hawai'i! I will now continue with the rest of the list of fun activities I have semi planned for us in Hawai'i. (If you missed Part 1, check it out here.)

As I said before, if you have traveled to The Big Island (which apparently many of you have!!) feel free to give me tips in case I missed something! Oh yeah, they keep changing our flights. Now our return flight leaves Kona at 11:15pm instead of 9:50pm. Holy molly that is going to be a long day! At least we have two extra hours in paradise!

6. Pololu Valley Lookout

This is an overlook off the Northeastern Coast of Hawai'i. There is also a steep trail that will lead you down into the valley and onto a black sand beach! I really want to do this hike!

7. Hawai'i Tropical Botanical Gardens
Source

I'm not a real "garden-y" type person, but everything I read about this place has convinced me that we need to go. Not only is it located along a route called the "4 Mile Scenic Drive" by Onomea Bay, but it boasts over 2000 species of tropical plants. I will be sure to make Paul in charge of pictures here. He is much better than me!

8. Kona Brewing Company

Paul loves beer. I do not like beer. But I go on random brewery tours with him, just like he sometimes goes to see musicals with me! He tried some Kona beer last week and really liked it, so he decided he'd like to tour the brewery. I believe we will do this on our last day on the island. We need to fill the entire last day with activities since our flight doesn't leave until 9:50pm!

9. Relaxing on Hapuna Beach

Hapuna Beach is considered one of the finest beaches on The Big Island. It just so happens that we are staying at the Hapuna Prince Beach Motel, which overlooks Hapuna Beach. Even though I am going to have every day of our trip planned out, some of those plans include simply "Relaxing on the beach." It is Hawai'i, after all!

10. Hilo Farmer's Market

While on the Eastern side of the island, I want to be sure to check out the Hilo Farmer's Market. Here you can find specialty food, fresh produce, tropical flowers, and and local crafters. I think we shall have breakfast there Saturday morning before heading over to the volcanoes!

Have you ever been to Hawai'i? Which island?
Am I missing anything you think we should definitely do?
What was your favorite vacation ever?
