Friday 5 - What I Wore To Work This Week



Hey all! I am linking up with Running on Happy and Fairytales and Fitness for Friday 5 2.0!

TGIF is all I have to say! My voice is raw and sore by the end of the week. So luckily, I only have to sing/talk through 4 classes today (instead of 7) and then I can rest my voice for the rest of the weekend!

Today, my theme for Friday 5 is: 


I know I just did a post like this two weeks ago.
This isn't turning into a fashion blog, I promise!
I'll do another one in a month or so once I have gotten out my fall clothes. For now, consider this my summer work wardrobe's last hurrah!


~ Monday ~

 I call this look:
" I got my period this morning and I need to wear stretchy pants!"

 Enough said.

Jean jacket is from Target.

Knit short sleeve is from Kohls.
Grey stretchy leggings. I refuse to pay more than $7 for a pair of leggings.

The shoes I have been waiting for! I got a deal since they were marked down, I had a coupon, and Kohl's cash!

Earrings- Cheap jewelry from Forever 21
Ring- from my Grandma

Layered necklace- Forever 21

Watch- NY&Co. I love it! The white part is rubber.
Wrap bracelet- I got it from Lisa McConnell Jewelry Designs and I love it!
I wasn't sure about the watch AND the bracelet but I like it. What do you think?
~ ~ Tuesday ~ ~

I call this look:
"Throwback Tuesday"

 I have had this dress since my early years in college! 

I got this dress at Maurice's, a store at the Susquehanna Valley Mall. I don't even know if it exists anymore!
Dr. Scholl's sandals from who knows where.
Cheap jewelry except the ring and bracelet are hand me downs from Avon and the ring is from my Grandma.


~ ~ Wednesday ~ ~

I call this look:
"As comfy as my jammies!"

 Honestly, other than the shoes, I feel so comfy in this stretchy dress and soft sweater.

The sweater I have had since high school. I got it from Express back when it was Express Tricot. It has held up so well.
The dress was on sale at NY&Co outlet for $15!!!
You are allowed to hate me for that steal!
Simply Vera flats from Kohls. I got them for $28 because they were on sale and I had a coupon!

~ ~ Thursday ~ ~

I call this look:
"Sporty Teach!"
I think I got this dress at Ross or somewhere similar.

My new shoes from Kohls!

 ~ ~ Friday ~ ~

I call this look:

"The last time I wear these capris this year!"
I know this is sort of a boring outfit but I wanted to wear these capris one more time before I put them away for the year. I got them at Kohls, I think.

The top is from Aeropostale and it is just a plain cotton v-neck that was like $5.

Yes, that's cat hair on my shirt! I will froof it before I go to work today! (Froof is what will call using a lint roller on something!)

    Yay, glad you are rocking those new shoes! I love all the dresses on you, I do like that blue one from Maurice's. Like you, I am trying to wear all my Summerish stuff. I've been on a role and have been able to wear dresses every day since school started except for this Monday. It was red, white and blue day for Patriots day so I wore white capris! I refuse to wear pants till October...lol.

      I know, I don't want to wear pants yet either. I do think Monday was my first day in pants! I am very excited to get out my fall clothes but I'm trying to wait a little longer.

    I love the style of dress on Wednesday. My dimensions don't match, and that style, with a faux wrap, works great on my body. I have a couple from Stitch Fix, and a couple from Belk, and I'll wear one to my cousin's wedding.

      Yes I think waist rouching (sp???) looks really good on most people, as well as the wrap style.

    The Thursday outfit is my favorite! I love black and white stripes!! But I couldn't pull off that dress, not the way you are rocking it !

    I love your outfits this week! I actually like these posts because you share neat fashion finds that aren't overpriced and because I don't really get to dress up for work, so it's neat to see what people wear. All of your outfits are functional too (gotta be when you teach kids, I guess). Honestly, the capri pants outfit looks the closest to what I would wear, but I think the leggings and jean jacket look cute!

      Thanks Amy! I definitely like fashion but I feel like I know what's a good deal and what isn't. Like those LuLaRoe leggings or whatever they're called... yes, they are cute, but why get a bunch of those when I can find leggings for $7 or less at Ross!? When I wear dresses like on Tues and Wed, I am more dressed up than most people at my school BUT I swear like I am in jammies because everything is stretchy. The leggings outfit is the only outfit I wore this week that I would wear in "real life" like if Paul and I went to the movies or something. Actually, Wednesday's dress I would wear to a wedding or something.

    I love dresses so much! I actually think posts like these take more time, what with all the photo editing and uploading and what not.

    Of course, since I don't work, I spend most of my summers in skirtsports and the rest of the year in leggings! Occasionally jeans (especially during winter walking the dogs).

      Yes, it did take time to take the pics (I'm not a photographer or editor so it's a little low budget over here!). So less time writing but more time with that kind of stuff.

      I love leggings! But if I am at home I'm in my pjs lol.

    All your outfits are so cute! Ive been trying to continue wearing summer clothes but the AC has been blasting in my office, so Ive stopped wearing dresses. I need some more cute/comfy flats like yours!

      My thermostat in my room is working again so I am able to make sure it is not too cold. But last week my room WAS cold so I did have to bundle up.

    I love your dress from Thursday! I am also a teacher and love wearing skirts and pants. On Friday we can wear jeans and our school shirt and that is my favorite day of the week. I invested in a pair of Tieks and so far have held up and are comfortable.
