Oh man, what a weird day! My trazodone is being a bitch and is only letting me sleep like five hours a night. One night with five hours of sleep is fine, but several in a row? No thanks.
I got up at four. I was craving a soda for some reason. I drove to the nearest grocery store because I needed a couple other items, but unfortunately they didn't open until 6. It was 4:50.
So I headed to Sheetz and got two coconut Bais, a Diet Dr. Pepper, and a Pepsi Max. I love Bais but I never get them because they are expensive.
Because I got to the gym a little earlier than normal, I had time to grocery shop on the way to work. When I am stuck waking up early, I feel like I may as well use the time wisely.
Work was rough. I taught a trombone lesson in the morning but I just couldn't focus due to the lack of sleep. But I made it through, and actually enjoyed being outside at the end of the day for crosswalk duty because the weather was so nice!
After work, I taught three piano lessons. Then I finally had a night at home with nothing to do, so I reconnected with Christmas..... Here he is now, laying right beside me on the arm of the couch while I type this post and watch Morning Joe.
It was nice to have a night at home!
What is your favorite thing to do when you have a night at home with nothing to do?
A night alone with nothing on my agenda means watching a documentary and going to bed early!
ReplyDeleteWatch any good ones lately?
DeleteYes, 20 Feet From Stardom -- all about back up singers! Really fascinating & interesting. I think you would enjoy it. I will just say that now when I listen to the Stones song "Gimme Shelter" I have a whole new appreciation for it. If you watch it, let me know, k?
DeleteAn evening home alone usually involves lots of kitty cuddles, a box and some music, and a glass of wine :) It sounds like at least your early morning was productive! But too bad about the store not open :(
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of wine do you like?
DeleteUsually a reisling or Pinot Grigio
DeleteMy favorite alone time is spent reading magazines! It makes me feel lazy :) Also, working on a scrapbook project. I still have to get something done on my Epic Road trip book from last summer. Hope your sleep cycle improves soon!
ReplyDeleteWhat magazines do you read?
DeletePeople, US weekly, and InStyle are my favorites. Celebrity stalker!
DeleteI used to love those!
DeleteWhenever I have a night home alone I always over plan! I’m like “ohh I’m going to read a book, and watch a Netflix documentary, and cool a big dinner.” But what usually happens is I work late, order in a turkey burger and mindlessly watch junk on YouTube.
ReplyDeleteThat is so sad! Although a turkey burger sounds very good. :)
Deletehaha! That totally sounds like something I would do too!
DeleteMy work days are pretty full, so I don't have much time in the evenings and I usually try to do "ALL THE THINGS".... write (for my blog), knit, watch tv and read....
