Hey all! I am linking up with Fairytales and Fitness for Friday 5!
I know Christmas isn't about gifts. My favorite part of the holiday season is spending time with family. But today I thought I'd share 5 gifts I got for Christmas.
1. Under Armor gym bag from my Mom and Dad. My old gym bag was too small and had a huge hole in it. My parents hooked me up with this new large bag. I'm going to look 20% more in shape when I walk into Planet Fitness with this strung over my shoulder.
2. 15 lb kettle bell from my Mom and Dad. My old one is huge and full of sand. This one is tiny and cast iron. I love it! It's my baby. What should I name it?
3. Coffee mug from my MIL. Hi-larious!
4. One sentence a day journal from my Mom and Dad. The expectation of writing only one sentence makes keeping a journal seem more manageable, doesn't it? The journal is good for five years, which means there is room to write 5 different sentences for January 1st. So when I go to write on January 1st next year, I can see what I wrote the year before. How cool is that!?
5. Peacock feather hairband from my SIL. I love it! I know it doesn't look as good in the picture because my hair isn't "done", but it is going to look fabulous once I'm all slicked up!
HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Awesome gifts! I really like the journal you got. That's a cute idea. I don't keep a paper journal, but I do keep a record of my running stuff in a spreadsheet, so it's kinda like a journal. I got a couple of cute things, but my favorite is my new computer. My old one died on me a while back and I was living with a combination of my work computer and phone. It was a pain.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a pain! I'm glad you have a personal computer now. I'm sure it makes life easier.
DeleteGreat gifts! I love that hair band, it looks really fun :)
ReplyDeleteThanks! I envision wearing it to my chorus concerts.
DeleteYou got some great gifts this Christmas and I really love that gym bag and journal!
ReplyDeleteMe too! The gym bag is LEGIT.
DeleteThat peacock headband is everything! Love it!
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of a one sentence journal. I think I would use it at the end of the day just to sum up my state of mind.
Yes my plan is to put it on my bedside table. Even if I am super tired, I can manage one sentence, right?
DeleteYou made out very well! The journal is a great idea! Did you name your weight, yet?
ReplyDeleteI did not. Suggestions?
DeleteI name most things but honestly haven't named my weights! I have no idea but will text you if I think of something!
DeleteI love everything!! I did a challenge last summer (?) where I wrote three things I was grateful every night before bed...and I kept it up for a few months. Not sure how I got away from it . I LOVE the sentence journal, and that you can see each years' previous sentence(s).
ReplyDeleteI know, it will be so cool to see what I wrote in previous years.
DeleteI've the idea of that journal! I have a habit of keeping old calendars and daily planners that I've wrote in so I imagine this would be something I'd have to hang on to even after the 5 years is up!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely! I have all of my day planners going back to college!
DeleteThose are great gifts! I love the idea of that journal. So motivating and fun.
ReplyDeleteThe journal is a neat idea. That’s why I like writing in my blog. It’s a good memory keeper. I hope you can keep it up, I’m sure it will be interesting!
ReplyDeleteWe are definitely lucky we have a blog and can look back! When I went to write my 2018 wrap up this year I was like... dang I'm glad I documented all this because otherwise I would forget things!
