Well, I kind of waited until the last minute to write this wrap up. I will have to give you the short and sweet version of what I was up to this weekend. I also have almost no pictures so you will simply need to be delighted by my way with words this morning...
1. My weekend started off with a bang when I got home Friday afternoon and realized not only did I leave my phone at work, but I got a $52.50 traffic ticket in the mail from Massachusetts Department of Transportation. Don't worry, we're fighting it.
2. The most annoying thing about not having my phone was that I never knew what time it was (I don't wear I watch) and I couldn't play solitaire in bed. I can't wait to play solitaire tomorrow night!
3. I had some excellent runs this weekend. I'll talk more about them in an upcoming post, but let's just say between Wednesday and Sunday I ran 31 miles! today (Monday) is a rest day for sure!
4. Saturday night was the Spring Formal Prom Run, hosted by my dear friend JK-L. You can read all about my wacky evening here. But here's a sneak peak...
5. Apparently, I can't sleep anymore. I had the best night sleep ever on Wednesday night, but ever since, I just lay in bed for hours and then wake up in the morning much earlier than I need to get up. I hope tonight I can break this bad sleeping streak and get some really good ZZZZzzzzzsss. I have an epic gym workout planned for Tuesday so I'm going to need it!
6. Sunday was my Aunt Patti's picnic that she has every year. It was awesome to hang out with all my aunts, uncles, grandma, parents, and cousins. My dad brought his juggling balls and was giving tips to my cousins. He was the hit of the picnic!
My daddy can juggle better than your daddy.
That's the short and sweet story of my weekend. Tell me something short and sweet about your weekend!
I love the idea of the dressed up run! Short and sweet...partied at a museum after closing and tried delicious drinks at a new bar!
ReplyDeleteI read all about it and it looked yummy!!!
DeleteI love playing games in bed too - - I usually play Blackjack or word games.
ReplyDeleteThirty one miles between Wed and Sun! Whooo!
Word games are fun too!
Deletenot sleeping is the worst. the worst! i always get annoyed that i'm not asleep and then i get worked up so much that it keeps me up longer. vicious cycle.
ReplyDeleteYes, that is what happens to me too!
DeleteSorry to hear you forgot your phone and the ticket just stinks. Great job on the runs, can't wait to read about tthem. That prom run looks totally cool. Oh man you need your sleep, hope you start sleeping better. I get caught up in my daily life and don't see extended family much so it's always fun to have a big get together like that. Your dad rocks!
ReplyDeleteShort and sweet - virtual race 5k yesterday, well run and lots of fun.
A virtual 5k!? Headin' over to read about it... :)
DeleteI don't know how you survived without your phone! I'm pretty sure I would have went crazy. 31 miles is bad ass. ;) I did not come close to that...you rock!
ReplyDeleteYah but you had an AWESOME half!
DeleteUrgh, driving fines. Worst ever. But a race where you get to dress up? That is epic!
ReplyDeleteNot a race, which makes us even more nuts!
DeleteIf I left my phone at work, I would have to go back for it - it's sad how attached I am to it!
ReplyDeleteYou left your phone at work ALL WEEKEND?! I don't know if I could survive...how sad is that for me?!
ReplyDeleteYour dad looks like he's seriously awesome. I love his hair!
I don't have a smartphone so it was prob a little easier. Had I left my lap top at work I would have turned right the eff around and went back for it! hehehe. My dad has had his hair like that since 1977. :)
DeleteGlad yours got dismissed! They said I didn't pay a toll. BULLSHIT!
