Holiday Card Swap!


This year, I participated in Lacey & Meranda's Holiday Card Swap! I did it last year and it was fun to pick out a little gift and card for my secret blogger. It was also fun to get some Christmas cheer in the mail from the blogger who had my name!

This year, my secret blogger was Heather @ 3 Black Cat Co. I had never read her blog before, which is sort of crazy because not only is Heather a runner, but she is also a cat lover! When I got her name, I spent some time searching through her blog to make sure I got her a present she would love. I ended up getting her some cute cat coasters.

One thing I discovered while reading Heather's blog was that she does Stitch Fix reviews. Reading her reviews made me realize I love reading Stitch Fix reviews!!!! So thank you, Heather. I now have one more mindless activity I like to do on the internet!


One chilly afternoon in December, I was delighted to see a card in the mail for me! I was pretty sure it was from my secret blogger, since it was addressed only to me.



The blogger who had my name was Janelle @ Run With No Regrets. She sent me a lovely card and a Starbucks gift card! You can't go wrong with that!

 And thank you to Meranda and Lacey for organizing the card swap. It's fun to spread some Christmas cheer!

    That seems like the perfect gift for a black cat lover! I've never done the secret blogger swap but I'd like to participate next year.

    A colleague got me the perfect gifts this year for Christmas. She got me these adorable cat measuring cups and a thing for my desk that says "I may not be perfect but my cat loves me." :D Apparently people know that I like cats! (lol)

      Aw those are very cute gifts! I especially like the item for your desk. :) I had coworkers get me something similar. It says, "I work hard so my cat can have a better life." TRUTH!

    Sounds like fun! You can never go wrong with a Starbucks gift card. I participated in a holiday gift swap with other bloggers in 2013, but haven't done it again since then.

      I know! Because even if someone doesn't drink coffee, they can get tea or a yummy lunch/snack.

    That's so much fun!! I have never heard of that before. Very cool! I was a bit bah-humbugish this year and did not participate in the Secret Santa at my office. But to be fair, it's the job where I am a contractor and I work there 2 days a week so I feel like I don't really know a lot of the people. (Social awkwardness!!)
    I think people could get a good idea of what I like from my blog. Iced coffee. Haha!

      Ah, that's not too bah hum-buggy! You know how much I love Christmas, and I only participated in our staff secret santa because it was supposed to be 5 small gifts. That's just a lot of buying and wrapping and remembering hahaa.

    I love this! What a fun idea and a great way to connect on another level to other bloggers. My dear friend got me a gift card to the movie theater--um, is it that obvious how much I adore going to the movies?! Yeah, I guess so!

    oh how fun!! I saw a pair of socks with cats in them, and thought "Megan would like this"!!

    I have the worst luck with secret santa gifts! it's like a curse was set on me! on 6th grade, I got a ratty, old donkey thing, at a job I got this awful "handmade" basket and at another job, I got this awful kitchen handcraft that looked like a voodoo doll.
