Thank you to Amanda @ Running With Spoons for this Thinking Out Loud link up!
This is the post where I just talk about random shit and hopefully you will find it entertaining.
Today's theme...
1. Scrabble on my phone. I used to be a solitaire girl through and through, but a few weeks ago, I downloaded Scrabble onto my phone. My life has been forever changed! Honestly, most nights I fall asleep in the middle of a game and Paul has to gently pry my phone from my hands when he goes to bed.
2. Living 2 minutes from Aldi. I have determined that I will always need to go to the grocery store. It seems like every time I come back, I realize I forgot something... or, Paul informs me that we are out of something. Thank goodness Aldi is close by!
3. Dateline and 48 Hours. This is what I watch when I decide to stay home and lift. Push ups are way easier when there is a murder to solve!
4. Our mini space heater. It gets really, really warm! I love blasting it on me while I'm stretching after a freezing cold run! This heater is small but mighty!
5. Dr G: Medical Examiner. I started DVR'ing this show again because I have missed it! This is going to sound gross, but I love learning about the body and the different causes of death. I also find Dr. G's voice to be very soothing and I want her to read me a book on tape.
6. Chocolate marshmallow cookies. These cookies from Aldi are AMAZING! I mean, chocolate + marshmallow... You can't go wrong!
A food photographer I am NOT. Don't let this shitty image fool you.
These cookies are HEAVEN in the form of SUGAR!
Also, relax, a little sugar will not kill you. Enjoy life. Eat some sugar. (SOME, NOT A TON!)
7. Freakanomics. I have been listening to the podcast for awhile now, so I figured it was time to check out the book. It does not disappoint! If my high school economics class was as interesting as this stuff, I maybe would have grown up to be an economist!
8. My foam roller. We are best friends right now.
Tell me something you are loving RIGHT NOW!
I will have to give the Freakanomics podcast a try, sounds really interesting!
ReplyDeleteI'm like drooling over your space heater. I want one so bad but keep putting off purchasing one. I want one for like every room in our apartment. It gets so cold in here, ugh.
It's early in the morning and right now the only thing I'm loving is that I only have one more day before it's the weekend and I can SLEEP IN (and then have a week of vacay)!! It's the little things...:)
It gets sooooo warm and it wasn't expensive at all. Paul got it for Christmas last year. :)
DeleteOne week of vaycay is HUGE!!!!! Enjoy!!!
I like listening to podcasts...I will check that one out.
ReplyDeleteOne thing I am loving...that tomorrow is Friday, and we get our new refrigerator delivered. It died last weekend. It has been a challenge keeping food for a family of five on hand, and going to the grocery store a million times (mine is 15 minutes away). Thankfully, today it is cold enough to keep things on the back deck!
Oh my word I can't even imagine how difficult that would be to provide food for your family without a fridge. Enjoy your new fridge!
DeleteYou can never live to close to a grocery store!!!!! Sad to say but Dateline and 48 hours mystery are our favorites! Yea, we are those old people who actually plan to stay home on Friday nights with our "take out" and watch Dateline. We love it....lol
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like the PERFECT Friday evening to me :)
DeleteOoo thanks for reminding me that I need to re-download sudoku for my phone! I lost it when I got a new one, and I seriously miss that game... Although I'm not sure I can handle another game addiction since Farmville kind of takes up all my free time lol.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it crazy how senseless games can be so addicting? I was addicted to Snood in college. In fact, if I had snood now, I would probably be addicted to it!
DeleteIf I had scrabble on my phone it would be dangerous. DATELINE!!! So so so so good. My husband and I watched one the other night and it kept me up way too late. I also decided I should probably record them and not watch them right before bed, because I had crazy dreams.
ReplyDeleteRight now I am loving butter rum lifesavers. So random.
That IS random! I haven't had a lifesaver in forever.
DeleteYes, those mystery shows can be really scary, especially because they are about REAL things that can happen. Ghosts, zombies... no. Rapists and murderers? YES.
These days I'm loving Trivia Crack (on my phone) and my heated steering wheel on my truck!!!
ReplyDeleteHeated steering wheel!? That's awesome!!!
DeleteLOL at your hubby thinking you are "tucking info away" hahaha!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your break! We have to go Monday and Tuesday yet!!! :( The kids are driving me nuts...
Your phone makes me smile :o)
ReplyDeleteI used to love those marshmallow cookies!! I haven't found a good GF substitute.
"My grandma has a flip phone!" is what my students exclaim! Haha. I love my flip phone. :)
DeleteDon't give up hope. Every week, I see more and more GF stuff in Aldi. There may be a day those cookies are GF.
