Weekly Workouts!

I ran... 19 miles
I hiked... 2 miles
I arc trained... twice
I lifted... twice

I've also been keeping up with PT stuff and foam rolling. Check out my sweet foam rolling tricks...

Saturday- 5 neighborhood miles. This run sucked and I knew it was going to suck. I had very little sleep and had more alcohol than normal at Karen's bachelorette party the day before. My stomach was not upset and I wasn't dehydrated (I drank a ton of water throughout the night) but I still had that tired, fuzzy feeling.

Sunday- EPIC LIFTING SESSION AT PLANET FITNESS! It was a beautiful day and a shame to be inside, however, after over a week off lifting, it was time to get back at it! I normally lift consistently at least twice a week. But early last week my shoulder hurt a bit from swimming, so I decided to give it a break. Then I realized I hadn't taken a full week off lifting since we were on vacation last summer, so I figured I may as well.

Crazy gym hair, don't even care!

Oh, the arc trainer, how I missed ye...

Monday- Onoko Falls hike in Jim Thorpe, PA. We had the best time on our day trip to Jim Thorpe and if you go, I highly recommend hiking to the top of Onoko Falls!

Does that look tiny? It was huge!

Tuesday- 8 miles! I drove to Seibert Park and ran along the creek into Enola and back to the park. I really enjoyed this run and felt good the whole time! My groind hurt a little the last two miles but nothing too bad. This was a confidence booster for sure.

Wednesday- REST! But I did 5 hours of yard work. Does that count as cross training!? No? Okay.

Thursday- 6 miler! It was nice and hot for this run. Then I did yard work for four hours. It was a very active day!

Friday- Lifting @ Planet Fitness and 30 minute arc trainer. Planet Fitness put a trash can where a normally do my donkey kicks. That's bullshit!

Next week, I am doing 2 trail runs in preparation for my 30k in a month! I hope they go well. I am nervous. Sunday I am doing 12 miles on the AT and the following Saturday I am hoping to do 8-12 at Pinchot Park.

  1. Good luck with your trail runs to get ready for the 30K! Eek! Glad you made it to Planet to lift. Ours just replaced all of the machines, including a few that I liked (a few machines that are good, because you know how gym machines can be). I did lunges for the first time in forever on Monday and have been a little sore all week from that.

    1. That stinks they replaced some machines you liked. New is definitely not always better. I would say about a year ago they got rid of their asst. pull up/dip machine and the new one is so unnatural that I don't use it. It's the kind where you are on your knees. It just doesn't let you pull your body up in the natural range of motion so unfortunately now I have to use bands on the monkey bars- which is SO HARD I always feel like puking!

Today, my triceps are sore from lifting on Wed. What the heck!?
