I'm loving...

Related Posts Plugin for WordPress, Blogger...

After a not so great week "mentally", this past weekend was an AWESOME chance to relax and recharge and get myself centered. I thought it would be nice to talk about some of the things I am loving lately...

I'm loving... this video of Jelly and Chrissy fighting! C'mon, you can watch it... it's 9 seconds long!

I'm loving... that three of my students got adopted on Friday! How wonderful for them!

I'm loving... how Christmas is always hungry. Sometimes he just gives up and lays on the kitchen counter in front of the fridge so he is there the second it is time to eat.

I'm loving... baking pumpkin cookies first thing on a cold, November morning. (Paul's radiation nurses are going to be happy!)

I'm loving... Leroy Stolzfus, a young Amish man who ran the Harrisburg Marathon in 3:05! Read about him here!

I'm loving... Your kind comments after my post on Friday. I learn so much from you guys!

What are you loving lately!?

  1. I love that three students got adopted. That is fantastic news! How good did your house smell when you made those cookies? Currently I am loving that I am redoing my home office & will combine it w/ my art studio & yoga area! And I am loving that T-Day is in a few days. It's my favorite holiday!

    1. My house smelled a lot less like cat pee after the cookies. :)

I bet your home office is going to look awesome! Here is just another instance when I wish you had a blog so we could see pictures and hear all the details! Maybe you will post some of FB?

    2. I will for sure send pictures along! I am super excited--it's going to be something totally different than what I have and allow me to do all my "stuff" in one place (and it's the warmest room in our house because it gets so much sun). Sun/warm = happy!

    1. Yes I was excited to hear about the adoption! :) And one the student told me about it THE DAY I wrote my post about feeling so overwhelmed and it just warmed my heart to see how happy he was.

  4. Adoption stories make me happy too! My oldest is adopted :). I am loving the way my dogs stretch out on the floor in the sun. Sometime I will join them.

  5. Awe, I love the kitty video. Callum is sitting in my lap watching it with me. He's all mad that I stopped it to comment. Ha! Cats are the best.

  7. Wow that is so nice that three of your students got adopted. I know I was lucky to be adopted by a great family and I am glad that to have paid it forward when I adopted Cecil ;) Okay, maybe not the same thing, but I wouldn't make a good real mom so it's the best I can do!

Love the rumbling kitties video. It reminds me of when I had multiple cats - I am slowly wearing Adam down when it comes to getting Cecil a brother! Every day I am one day closer!

    1. I cannot WAIT until you get another cat! I wonder how Cecil will react? Do you have a name picked out?

    2. The only reason we haven't taken the plunge yet is because Cecil doesn't really get along with other cats. When my mom stayed with us for a few days she brought her cat and ... well, they fought like cats. Cecil was really aggressive towards him. Adam says that's a sign that Cecil doesn't want a brother, but I think he would eventually get used to it. I don't think we could get a kitten, but if we adopted an adult cat that could hold his own against Cecil I think they would eventually work it out....

I told Adam we're going to name the next cat Adam Jr. LOL

    3. AAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHHAHAA!!! I love the name you picked out. :)

I agree, I bet if you properly introduced the cats to each other and gradually eased them into living in the same space, they could get along.

That's one of the reasons we don't have more cats. The older Christmas gets, the more set in his ways he is. Getting another cat would rock his world.

  8. My friend from the gym shared that story about the Amish runner with me the other day. That's just amazing!

  9. That is so great that your students were adopted. It must be such a joy for you to experience that from your place of work. I hadn’t heard about that Amish runner but I am so glad you shared the story with us. It’s incredible what people are capable of. I am currently loving running (I can’t get enough, even though I’m supposed to not get enough – if that makes sense) and all of the snow we have been getting. There is something about snow during the holidays that makes it more festive. I just had my husband buy hot cocoa and huge bag of marshmallows. I’m all set!
