My Tuesday in a Nutshell

Jelly woke me up for food at 2:11. I laid in bed for an hour and thought about all the horrible things that have ever happened in my life. (That's what you do when you wake up in the middle of the night too, right?) After getting sick of replaying all the bad parts of my life and going through my to do list five times, I decided to get up. I can only think of the day we put our cat Basic to sleep so many times...

Coffee, Anderson Cooper, and blogging were my early morning activities. Of course Jelly was easily able to fall back asleep and he ended up snoring on my lap.

He's a dick.

Around 5am I hit the streets for a cold 10 miler. I just felt like running and I had the time, so why not? Also, I knew we would be snowed in on Wednesday (ice coming too) so getting some miles in while I could made the most sense.

My run was so enjoyable. I had some awesome podcasts to listen to. I did have to run a bunch of loops because a lot of my neighborhood was icy, but I didn't mind. When you really feel like running, it doesn't matter.

Work was okay... I wish the kids could get out for recess. They need to be OUTSIDE to get out all of their energy.

After work, I went to Aldi to stock up on food. I tried to think outside the box and get somethings we don't normally get.

Of course I had to stock up on my favorite bologna. Is this stuff healthy? I don't care if it isn't.

Mmmm mushroom tortelloni pasta! We never tried this!

Some interesting sauces to try with chicken and quinoa...

I taught a couple piano lessons in the evening and then just called it a night. I watched some TV, ate dinner, went to bed, and looked forward to the snow day that was surely to come tomorrow!

How is your week going?

  1. I'm so sorry you keep thinking of the sad times.
The night that Baylee wouldn't let me sleep, I actually told Scott that I was thinking of putting her in the dog crate. Of course I was kidding, we hadn't used the crate in years!
We hadn't had a full day of school yet all week! I got out to run on Tuesday too because I knew snow was coming!

  2. The ravioli sounds delicious! I've seen someone use the tiki masala sauce before and I want to say they really enjoyed it so that's a plus!

  3. Why does that happen in the middle of the night? I don't understand it. I wake up, then go back to sleep, but I don't think I'm getting quality sleep right now. I always seem tired.

  4. I'm sorry you have those thoughts about Basic. I often get caught up thinking about the day we'll have to say goodbye to Cecil and can't sleep either.

I hope you get better sleep tonight!

  5. I hope you get some sleep. Glad you got a good run in and an Aldi Trip. My week is going well and I didn't hate Celebrity Big Brother as much as I thought I would even with Omarosa!
