Weekend Wrap Up!

Happy Monday!
What a great weekend! It felt like I was on summer vacation all over again.
Here's what we were up to...

I had a great 6 miler on Friday morning. I even snapped a picture!

I got so much done at work this week! It feels really good to be on top of things.

After work I picked Paul up and we headed to Kohls. I picked up some shoes I bought online and scheduled for in store pick up. Unfortunately, when I got home, I discovered that one was a size 7.5, one was an 8, and both were a left shoe! I was so pissed. I called the store and they don't even have a pair of 7.5s left. Don't worry, I left feedback and I better get a gift card for my troubles.

I am really bummed.
These shoes were comfy and I wanted to wear them on Saturday.

I also bought a pair of Simply Vera black flats for work. I love them!!!

Later that evening, we met Randy and Michael for sushi at Tokyo Diner! It was fun to be out and about after staying in every night this week.

Then we went home to watch Big Brother. Ugh. I freaking hate this season.

Jelly in his Purrfect Archway!

I did another 6 miler. The sky was absolutely gorgeous!

Then Paul and I headed up to Millersburg to do the Rotary Club's Tasting Tour of Millersburg. For $25, you got to walk around the town and taste food and drink at 21 different locations! We had so much fun! I am writing a long post about this event tomorrow!

Okay, this next picture requires some explanation...

We were walking down center street and saw some dog poop perfectly placed on someone's front stoop. Our guess is that someone's dog is pooping in someone else's lawn, so they brought the poop back to the dog owner's front stoop!

Before leaving town, Paul and I went up to visit my Grandma. It's always good to see her and chat with her!

Then I dropped Paul off at his friend's house and I headed to the mall to get all of my hair chopped off.

I got my ears cut out this time. I like it!
I am no longer going to that expensive place. I went to Regis at the mall which was $28.50 (that's including tip.) I now dye my hair myself with the boxed stuff which will cost me about $4 a month. So instead of paying like $70 for my hair every 8 weeks, I am going to be paying $32.50... and maybe I can even find a place to cut it for cheaper!

When I got home, I had a lot of work to do on my blog! It feels good to get a lot of posts written and scheduled! Sometimes I wonder how I have time to post every day.

I didn't sleep well because I got woken up at 7:30 and then just couldn't fall back asleep. I know 7:30 doesn't sound too early but I went to bed around 2:00am last night... so... ya... I guess I won't be staying up to watch Big Brother tonight.

I lifted but didn't really feel like it. Chrissy sat on my weights because he knew I really wasn't feeling it!

I was basically in a bad mood all day because I didn't have the energy to do anything, yet I still had to grocery shop, take care of house stuff, lay out my outfits and pack my lunches for the week. You know, all the organizational stuff that makes you feel like your life is in ORDER.

Finally I laid on the couch with one of my babies...

Oh well, I will leave you with this meme that I love...

Did you ever go on a tasting tour?

Local peeps: Suggestions for haircuts cheaper than $20.50? (I gave a $5 tip.)

What do you think the story behind the dog poop is?

Tell me something fun you did this weekend!

  2. Those flats are very cute!

Ja ja !! The dog poo on the step is awesome! I did that to one of my neighbors once! they never picked up after their dog, so I helped reminding them.... I was 24 and very immature.

The tasting tour of Millersburg sounds really cool!

    1. Hahaha that's awesome! It's funny that people have either done that or have wanted to do it. :)

  4. The dog poo thing is brilliant. I run by a house that always has a bunch of kids playing in the backyard and one day someone had written in sidewalk chalk, "Please do not leave your dog poo on our lawn." It was definitely an adult's writing. I loved it! The writing was huge and covered the whole sidewalk area.

    1. That is a great idea! It surprises me people don't pick up after their animals.

  5. You've had some bad luck with clothes and shoes at stores lately just not working out for you. I can't believe that about the shoes but hopefully Kohl's will make it right and get you the right shoes! That sushi looks so good- I had sushi on Thursday night and decided I need it in my life more often :).

    1. Unfortunately Kohls can't find two in my size so.... I could order online and pay for shipping but I don't really want to do that on account of principal!

  6. My mom was in town to find a dress for my cousin's wedding. Success! I already have a dress, but it's now time to look for shoes. I'm so picky about shoes, I need to start looking online now.

  7. I love your new Simply Vera flats! So pretty! I live in flats. I honestly can't remember the last time I wore heels. It was definitely before I became a runner, so more than 5 years ago! O_O

    1. Thank you! I don't wear heels to work anymore. I used to. I used to wear them even when I taught music from a cart and traveled around the school all day!

  8. Love the new flats!! I really need a new pair myself. Mine are getting pretty beat! Does your cat like the scratchy arch? Sydney wanted to make one. DIY queen (yep, I think it was with a toilet brush...)

    1. I need a new pair of black flats nearly every school year because they do get worn! Yes, oddly both cats love it! They just love to lay under it. So weird that people know what cats would like. A toilet brush! hahahaha do it!
