Weekend Wrap Up!

Hey, hey, hey it's Monday!
If I pretend to be excited about it, maybe I will actually become excited about it, right?
I hope your weekend was awesome. Here's what we were up to...

My day started with an awesome 5 miler!

The highlight of my workday was my 4th grade class at the end of the day. They were asking questions and were very engaged in learning. I love when students are curious and want to learn!

The highlight of my evening was having a cookout with our friends! Burgers, dogs, mac salad, chips, cookies... Hmmmm! Glad I ran all those miles this week!

I wanted to run but I knew I should lift. I ran six days last week so it was time to lift heavy. I did a workout at home.

Chrissy was laying in a sun square so I had to snap a shot!

Then Paul and I went to my brother's house for his Fall Festival! It was so fun to hang out with family!

My mom gave me this pin at the Hillary rally she went to a few weeks ago!

Today I RAN! I ended up doing 11 miles at about an 8:10 pace. Look at me all matchy-matchy.

Then I ran a bunch of errands.

Chrissy was happy because I got him some food!

Yes, I did get a cute dress. I know I said I was done shopping but it was only $14!

While I was at the thrift store, I got a ton of puzzles!

When I got home, I did a puzzle and went to bed early. I didn't feel good at all because I got my period that morning. On my run. I know, super gross, right?

Did you ever get your period ON A RUN?
Tell me something fun you did this weekend!

  2. Love the pics of all your family--what a fun day! Super cute dress, too! I am lucky I have not had that happen to me on a run; that would suck. This weekend my fun things were having lunch with one of those friends that is like a ray of light...she is so positive and we have the best conversations. Sunday I spent most of the day getting my new PC all set up (yes, that is fun for me) and also did some art work (finally)!

    1. I could just tell I was getting it. Luckily it was only a minor crime scene in my shorts. Sounds like you had an awesome weekend! If you think setting up computers is fun, then you and Paul should hang out. ;)

    2. LOL--that is funny! It was mostly getting my music set up and I was just in a zone, listening to music and it was actually really fun!

  3. Your pictures scream FALL and I am so jealous! Pumpkins, sweaters, spending time outdoors without sweating your ass off! What a great weekend!

This weekend Adam and I had big plans for starting work on our house. Instead we mostly just created a spreadsheet of all the things we need to do, felt overwhelmed and napped instead of doing any work. Thank goodness we don't have to be out of our apartment until January!

    1. MAKING A SPREADSHEET SOUNDS FUN!!!! I'm serious. :) Paul and I talked about making a check list for when we clean the house- like what needs to be done in each room. What kinds of things do you need to do? I mean, what are the top priorities?

    2. Hahahha it was fun, I love making spreadsheets!

      Top priorities:

      1. Electrical work to add recessed lighting in bedroom and to move some lighting fixtures to different areas in the living room.

      2. Add new sinks/countertop/mirror to master bedroom.

      3. Add new sink/countertop/mirror to the two guest bathrooms.

      4. Remove all kitchen bAcksplash and install new ones.

      5. Paint (this is probably priority #2 actually!)

      6. Buy new eco friendly appliances (fridge, washer, dryer)

And then there are the little things and finally decorating! Eek! We hope to move in and be done by the second weekend in December though!

  4. I stayed home all weekend besides a run on the trail and a visit to starbucks on saturday.
Cute dress and shoes. My shopping was a bust last weekend so I am still on the hunt for some fall clothes. I guess I can wait another week now since it's suppose to be in the 80's this week!

  5. Cat food is super important. Stores are making it more difficult to find Allie's food, so I have to go out with a plan to get it.

  7. Your kitties have some tasty food there! We feed out cats dry food, but we got some moist food with the foster kittens. The kittens scarf that food down in no time flat!! Yum Yum Yum

    1. Ours do a mixture of both. When they went on a diet, we added a lot more wet food to their diet! It's way better for cats. PROTEIN.
