A Beautiful Fall Run!

Sunday was an absolutely perfect Pennsylvania fall day. The sun was shining, it was a little windy, and the trees were extremely colorful!

I decided I'd be doing a disservice to myself if I didn't run somewhere other than my neighborhood! I parked at Lower Allen Park (less than 10 minutes away) and went for a beautiful run along the Yellow Breeches Creek.

For local folks, here was my run:

McCormick, right on Arcona, left on Lisburn, right on Klinedinst, left on Hertzler, left on Mt. Allen, right on McCormick, left on McCormick.

If you live in the area, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS ROUTE!

Can you imagine anything more perfect!?
I saw two deer! (Not pictured.)

Check out one of the coolest yards on McCormick road!

I broke my running glasses, that is why I have my "fashionable" ones on.

What is fall like in your neck of the woods?
Tell me about one of your most gorgeous running routes!

  1. It looks like we are a few weeks ahead of you with the leaves. Most are down here. It was a gorgeous fall, flakes were flying this am!
Those pictures are beautiful. I think running in the fall maybe my favorite.

  2. The leaves are so pretty. My mom went to Buffalo for a week and her pics from up there have been gorgeous. Having four seasons must be nice! Fall has officially arrived down here. Our temps are sticking in the low to mid 80s during the day and 70s at night. I know 80s sounds like it's still warm but after such a hot summer the 80s actually feel cool!

    1. It is fun having 4 seasons, though of course I wish I could change the duration of each season! I'd be cool with:

      Winter- 2 months
      Spring- 1 month
      Fall- 4 months
      Summer- 5 months

  3. Wow the pics are so good. You sure did have a good run.
I do the treadmill, but when I go for a holiday I'm going to try to run outdoors. I do not have a watch for pace /miles etc. So, it's kind of hard to go out

    1. Could you map it out first on map my run? That's what I normally do when I am going somewhere new or just want to find a route that is the right distance. I mapped this out beforehand.

  4. I run through the neighborhoods around my apartment complex. There's lots of trees and a couple hills, but nothing like that trail. We do have trails, but they are a bit of a drive, and I'm lazy on Saturdays. I just want to go out from my front gate.

    1. Yup! It was Sunday :) Yah I slick my hair back and use a hairband too. :) I used to wear bandannas but they started to annoy me.

  7. Wow!! PA is so beautiful in the fall! Kansas is rather nice now too, but not nearly as pretty. Enjoy the nice running weather!
