Winter Wonderland Neighborhood Run!

Related Posts Plugin for WordPress, Blogger...

I recently wrote a post about my morning neighborhood run, but I did not include any pictures because it is dark while I am running! Well, it snowed this past Thursday, so we had a 2 hour delay. That meant not only did I get to run in the daylight, but I got to run in a winter wonderland!

Here is my run in pictures!

Stepping outside my front door...

... looking down my picturesque street!

Those aren't orbs, they are snowflakes!

This is the only "hill" on my run.

This is the tree line in which I am sure Twisty the Clown is hiding...

Most of my run is flat.

Cute little house like these make my run feel so homey!

I love this house, it looks like a barn!

It was a little busier today because I was running later than normal.

My attempt at an artsy photograph!

There are lots of Christmas lights out. I love this weird looking castle!

Home sweet home!

When I got home, I ran a little loop to add a mile to my normal run.
Oh, the luxury of having extra time in the morning!

Well, now you get to see what a little 'ol neighborhood in Central PA looks like
on a foggy, wintery morning!

  1. Your run looks so Christmassy! We still have no snow here....last year we were covered by this time.

    1. It is Christmasy! There are many more lights in the evening... I wish they were all on in the early morning. Also, I wish we had outdoor lights! I love a ton of cheesey outdoor lights... All of our snow was gone by this weekend hehe. It didn't snow a lot, just enough for a delay and a beautiful run!

  3. Thanks for taking us on the run with you. Seems like we are getting the same type of storms, snows one day, gone the next...
I like a lot of Christmas lights too!

  4. SNOW! The last time I saw a little bit of a snow was back in 2011 when I went to visit a friend up in Michigan. The snow really makes things look Christmassy. I've been having a hard time getting into the holiday spirit this year even though it's been "colder" than it normally is at this time. A little snow would help! :)

    1. I don't understand how people can feel Christmassy if it's not cold out! Although, if that is what you're used to, then that's just how it is!

  5. Snowy runs are quite peaceful aren't they? I love how all the sidewalks in your neighborhood are nicely cleared! -M

    1. I think they were cleared simply because it wasn't cold enough for it to lay on the cement... because I doubt everyone got up early to shovel. I know we didn't! :) Yes I love snowy, peaceful runs!

  6. ho ho ho!! I like the flakes of snow we can see on your lens on the first few pics. It must be so serene to run as snow falls and the sun comes up! Wish I could get up early enough to try it one of these days.

Ught, I hated two hour delays as a kid. Just cancel school!!!

    1. But if school is canceled, you have to make it up. You DON'T have to make up a delay. ;)

It IS serene, I love it!

  7. Do you run on the roads or sidewalks? It looks so quiet and peaceful with the snow, darkness, and lack of traffic. Was it icy at all?

  9. Okay, I KNOW running in snow and cold must be so brutal sometimes but it's on my bucket list to do it someday. Because that is just too pretty for words!!!

    1. It definitely can be, but it can also be gorgeous! I am glad that is on your bucket list. Most of the time when it snows here, it isn't even that cold out- like high 20s, low 30s. Which probably seems REALLY cold to you, but not for us! If it is like 23+ I am totally fine!

  11. Thanks, I love our little house! I know the castle cracks me up so much! It was windy the other day and it got knocked down hahaha.

  12. Pretty! I love running in the cold and snow as long as it isn't too icy. I am so accident prone, I'm always scared of falling and injuring myself!

    1. I agree. If there's ice, I'm OUT! (and by out, I mean inside lifting weights!) ;)
