Christmas is Coming!

I love Christmas.  To prove how much I love Christmas, I named my cat Christmas.

Do you believe me now?

I feel like it is that weird time of year where it is a little too early to be excited for Christmas, yet it's already exploding on commercials and in the stores.

The thing is, I am normally very excited for Christmas by now! But this year, for some reason, I am not excited yet. Maybe it's because I have no clue what to get people for gifts. Maybe it's because the carols aren't on the radio yet. Maybe it's because it has only finally gotten cold out.

Whatever the reason, I am anxiously waiting for the morning I wake up and am suddenly super excited for the holiday season. I hope that morning comes soon!

Until then...

Are you excited for Christmas, or is it just too early for that?

  1. I feel myself getting excited but I LOVE Thanksgiving so I am really focused on that holiday right now (got all my shopping done and made my stuffing & froze it last weekend) We put up our tree on T-Day so that is sort of the day it all happens for me. I get to enjoy food, football, online shopping, the parade and WINE and also get into the holiday spirit as we decorate the house and put up our tree!!

    2. It really is and as much as I LOVE LOVE my family it is the one holiday we spend alone at home together and I do enjoy that.

  2. Hah! I just texted that meme to all of my friends two days ago :D

I'm just starting to feel a bit excited. I think I am going to put my Christmas decorations out soon to really get in the spirit! I just started gift shopping this week so that's putting me in the Christmassy mood!

  3. I am looking forward to Christmas. However I don't usually get into the festivities or put up my Christmas tree until after Thanksgiving. -L

    1. Paul usually makes me wait until after Thanksgiving for decorations.

  4. I wish I shared your enthusiasm for Christmas but I man…just can't. I do love Thanksgiving though but stores and radio stations playing Christmas music just seem to forget that holiday exists first. :)

    1. Haha I definitely understand that point of view. I mean, you can't argue with the fact that Thanksgiving is FIRST.

  5. I am ready for Christmas and am VERY proud of myself for showing great restraint for not decorating--but I think we will start this weekend!

  6. I think this might make you hate me, but I can't stand Christmas. I've never, even been a fan of it. Growing up, it was just my mom and I and we rarely did anything to celebrate - it was just another day. Since I moved away, almost every year something terrible has happened on or around Christmas - I think it's a curse! I've been invited to a few things this Christmas Day but I think I'm just going to spend the day curled up watching movies. What could go wrong?! Actually, don't answer that... haha

    1. Of course I don't hate you! I wouldn't like Christmas either if terrible things always happened around that time. I know why I love it so much. My parents did all kinds of fun stuff with us when we were kids. Cookies, decorating, always getting a real tree.. so I have good memories of Christmas!

  7. I love Grumpy cat :) I totally understand the stress. The older I get, the more stressful the holidays seem to get!

  9. I usually love Christmas, too but right now I haven't mustered up much excitement yet. I'm sure it will come for both of us.
