Thinking Out Loud!

Thinking-Out-Loud

Thank you to Amanda @ Running With Spoons for this Thinking Out Loud link up! Here is some randomness for you on this Thursday morning!

1. Can you believe I have had a Hershey bar sitting on my desk at work for almost a month and I didn't even eat it? It was from a local church- just a little something they stuck in our mailboxes to show appreciation for the teachers. I finally took it home and look what Paul did to it...

He's such a jokester.
2. A co-worker recently went to Eastern State Penitentiary to take a tour. This is a run down prison in Philadelphia which is now a historical site. I am going to try to convince Paul to go this weekend. We went to Alcatraz and really enjoyed it. This place looks almost as interesting!
3. I've been a little sad lately, but do you know what cheers me up? (Even if it's only for a few minutes...) Dancing to the song Lollipop by Mika. I have a awesome dance I do to it in my reindeer pajamas. It is quite the sight.

4. I have not had my hair cut or trimmed in 2 years. It's getting ridiculous.
Most of the time I have it pulled back...

Sometimes I wear it curly...

But if I brush it... YIKES!
5. Can someone recommend a TV series for Paul and I to start this summer? It is hard for us to find one we both like. For example, he was really into Breaking Bad, The Wire... things like that. Me? I'm more of a Weeds, How I Met Your Mother, and Dr. Phil kind of gal. It's hard to find middle ground! Here are some of the shows we watched together, to give you and idea...
Seinfeld
Orange is the New Black
Parks and Recreation
The Office
Big Brother
Seinfeld
Homeland
Dexter
Bates Motel
American Horror Story
Okay, new ideas.... GO!
Tell me something random... Think Out Loud!

  1. Do you watch Scandal? It's very dramatic, there are massive twists pretty much all the time so you can't really be bored. The Americans is really good but I don't know how easily accessed it is. And if you're up for a British show, watch Broadchurch or The Falls but British shows run really short seasons.

    1. I looked all of those up- thank you! I think my hubby would like The Americans but Broadchurch looks more like it is up my ally!

  2. I'm probably the worst person ever to give show advice since I don't watch much TV, but I heard Lost was really good. Actually, it's one that I keep meaning to get into, but somehow it always gets put off lol. And a tour of the penitentiary sounds amazing -- I seriously love stuff like that.

  3. Scandal and Friday Night Light. FNL is one of my all time fave shows. I keep watching it. Scandal is delicious! Also the first season of Prison Break is really good.

  4. Have you ever tried watching Arrested Development? Adam and I marathon all the seasons about once a year because we're so sad that it went off air. Plus, every time we re-watch it we notice something new and I love shows where you can do that!

  6. Visiting the penitentiary sounds like it would be really cool. There is an abandoned one about 45 minutes from my house in Ohio and I've been there once during Halloween where they have a haunted house. It was really cool to see the inside, but I was also scared of someone jumping out and scaring me so I didn't get to fully enjoy it!

  7. Sorry to hear you have been feeling sad:( I have weeks like that, for sure. Have you ever watched Downton Abbey? I watched all four seasons (while training on my bike indoors this winter) and I'm hooked. I'm not sure if your hubby will like it.. but you might!

  11. Oh I wish I could recommend a summer show but by the time summer is here, I rarely watch TV; I'm mostly outside running or cooking or cleaning. My top three favorite shows this past year: Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, Homeland. If you get HBO, I saw some previews for a couple new series that are coming this summer. And, of course, there's the final True Blood series. I haven't watched it yet, though!
