HOLY HELL! THIS WEEK IS OVER! (and other random things...)

1. I can't believe I made it through the work week! Sure, it was only 4 days, but I got very little sleep, taught 7 piano lessons, and had to attend an evening open house at work. I am so ready to catch up on some Zzzzzs this weekend! Update: I got 10.5 hours sleep last night! My mission may already be accomplished!

2. Boy did Christmas miss us while we were gone last weekend. To convey that message to us, he decided to pee all over the house. So Paul got to get out my trusty trail flashlight and go on a cat pee search while I was at work. He found at least 7 spots that Christmas annihilated with his urine.

This $70 trail running flashlight has been turned into a cat pee detector.
Yes, that is Christmas' little paw.

4. Yesterday, Paul and I went on our Friday night Aldi date. Now our fridge is gloriously full!

5. I think I know who would be the perfect replacement for Elisabeth Hasselbeck on The View: Candace Cameron Bure. She co-hosted this past week and she just annoyed the crap out of me. That's how I know she would be the perfect replacement for Shrillisabeth... the co-host I always loved to hate.

6. Guess what I get to do in 5 days! LIFT LOWER BODY! I am going to start again on May 1st! I am so freaking excited. Don't worry, I am going to start slowly and work on muscle endurance. I have not lifted lower body in 3 months so I know I can't just jump back in and lift what I was lifting before. I need to check my ego at the gym door (I go to Planet Fitness so it is pretty much required that you do that anyway) and just git 'er done.

I am getting a little... manly in the upper body area.
I think I need to tone it down a bit before my lats get even more manly looking!

7. Speaking of things I haven't done in a long time... I haven't worn high heels since NOVEMBER! I don't wear heels a lot because I know they are not good for your body, but of course I wear them when I dress up. With the warm weather coming, I feel some high heeled wedge sandals will be worn soon...
Do you wear heels?
Who do you hate on The View?
Do your pets do anything "bad" to let you know they didn't like you being gone?

  1. I wore high heels every day for about 10 years ( I'm only 5 ft 2 so I loved the height..lol) and I NEVER had a problem. I gave up heels about a year and a half ago and now I have problems, go figure!

I think Candace Cameron would be a perfect replacement for on the view!

My Labrador use to suffer from separation anxiety and she would ( supposedly, we'd actually never her seen her do it and my husband swears it wasn't his dog) chew holes in out carpet. I've replaced it 4 times now and I refuse to do it again. His dog is 14 yrs old so I'm thinking it wont be too long until I can replace it for good..lol> I know that sounds awful!

On a side note: Since we don't live that far away, do you want to meet up sometime after school is out? ( hopefully that doesn't sound too stalker creepy). ~M

  2. Yay! I am so excited that you get to lift lower body! I hate leg day, but love it at the same time. And I doubt you're looking manly! You're probably looking amazing!

  3. Ah, 10.5 hours of sleep sounds like heaven!!! Especially after such a crazy week!

Remember back when the Cameron cousins weren't crazy, in the 90s? They're both insane and annoying as hell now!

    lmao...that upper-body picture!

  4. My dog thinks it is "cute" to try to dig/chew/claw her way out of her crate when we're gone. It's so hard to be mad at such an adorable face though!

I'm so glad that someone else appreciates the wonderful place that is Aldi. Their big tubs of Greek yogurt are the bomb! (And, you know, like everything else they sell.)

    1. I am a HUGE Aldi fan and I don't know why someone would NOT go there. The only thing I can't get there is my special K protein plus cereal and chicken. Your dog sounds like a cutie- you can't blame her for wanting out of her crate!

  5. Glad you caught up with some sleep! I think the view in general is annoying. Too many squawking women. :)

    1. LOL you are right, they do squawk! I liked it better when Joy was there. I hate Jenny and I'm slowly starting to hate Sherri too.

  6. LOL at your cat peeing in your suitcase. How inconvenient for you, but it looks like she got her message across! That's why I love cats.... they are so controlling and manipulative :)
