The ABCs of.. ME! (The FINALE!!!)

Related Posts Plugin for WordPress, Blogger... Related Posts Plugin for WordPress, Blogger...

I had an idea for a blog series so you could get to know me a little bit better. I urge other bloggers to join in, too! All you do is go through the alphabet and think of words or phrases that describe you and your life. (I’m sure you had an assignment like this in middle school language arts class, right!?) I didn't do the whole alphabet in one post, I broke it into chunks. Check out Part IPart II and Part III of the series. Now onto THE FINALE!

We call them colleges in the states, but I do enjoy how other countries call them
universities! The universities I attended: Indiana University of Pennsylvania (2000-2004). I earned my undergrad degree in music education. A few years later, I attended Wilkes University (also in PA) where I earned my master's in education. Oh, and when I say I "attended" Wilkes University, I mean I did an online master's program... so while I have been to Wilkes-Barre before, I have never stepped foot on Wilkes' campus!
Another random fact: I did not attend either of my graduation ceremonies.

I like to be alone and I like to do things alone. I lived alone in college, and after college, I only had a roommate for about 6 months. Then I got my own place. Now I live with Paul (of course) and I love that! He is independent too, so we respect each other's alone time.

The STATS:

Must be red and dry.
Can be expensive or cheap, room temperature or chilled.
Consumed before dinner.
Approx. 4-6oz.

We have a pretty clean house... except for the cat hair. Even if we vacuum, there is cat hair everywhere the next day. Our little boys have long hair, so they can't help it!

Paul and I love playing this game on his X-Box. Fact: I win 90% of the time!

I love Zumba. I miss Zumba. My knee can't handle it now.
I can't wait to go again. It's the only place I go where I feel like I'm in a Beyonce video or something similar.

Will you join me in this blog series? I'd love to learn more about you!

  1. From this series I have learnt we have many things in common ;) Except my red wine needs to be expensive - any time I have cheap red, I get a roaring headache!

  2. I used to be only a red wine drinker, but on a hot summer day I've come to love white wine. Especially if it's crisp. Also goes well with chicken and spicy foods. But cheap, yeah, no problem. :)

  3. I completely understand about the cat hair. Our labradors leave their hair everywhere! I even find dog hair on my "clean" clothes. It can be a bit embarrassing!

    1. It takes over everything! Luckily I think most people have pets so they understand. :)

  5. I am the same as you when it comes to the cat hair and independence (I love my alone time), but so opposite when it comes to wine. Pretty sure my parents and Adam are embarrassed by my unrefined taste in wine, but I only like super sweet white wines like Moscato :) Yum!

    1. Ooh I used to like really sweet wine but I got sick on it once... so... no more. Moscato was my SHIT though.

  7. I had YDKJ for the computer back in the 90s. Best game ever!

Being an independent woman myself, living with a spouse can be a little weird sometimes. It's so nice that you and Paul both enjoy alone time!

    1. Alone time is definitely key to marital bliss. :) When we first got married, we actually worked complete opposite schedules so the only time we were both home at the same time was 10pm-7am. Oddly, it was a good way to ease into living with someone. His schedule changed about 2 yrs into our marriage and I am so happy. I would hate it if we worked schedules like that now!

  9. I am also Very Independent. To the point I assumed marriage would never be for me. Then I met my Husband who was just too awesome to pass up. He is the only person I know with whom I can be around and still feel like I'm getting that "alone time" I need to recharge.
