Wednesday: A Much Better Day!

I finally got some good sleep- 8.5 hours! It was actually weird that at 4:30, I woke up convinced I could hear a cat crying. It sort of sounded like it was coming from under my bed. I got out my flashlight and looked... nothing. Then Christmas and Jelly trotted into the bedroom to get fed. I guess the cat crying was a dream or something!? Luckily, I fell back asleep until my alarm went off at 5:30!

The real feel was 36, so I did a 6 miler around my neighborhood. It felt great to be out there! I have been spending too much time on the treadmill lately...

Before I left for work, I got to play a game many pet owners have played... "Dirt or Poop?" I saw some brown spots on the floor in the kitchen. I wiped it up and I'm pretty sure it was dirty. Score!

My day at school was awesome. The students at my school are awesome. Sure, there are difficult days, but for the most part the kids are fun, respectful, curious, and kind.

During one of my first grade classes, I was being silly and laying on the jokes. "You're so funny, Ms. Michael!" a little girl told me. I love making kids laugh! I think it's a great compliment if someone tells you you're funny, whether it's a child or and adult!

I got home at 4 and just had another chill night at home. I watched the news, wrote this post, and then watched a couple episodes of You on Netflix. Just living the dream...

Sorry, I know these daily posts are probably boring. I guess it would help if my weekday life was more interesting!

Are you funny?
Ever play "Dirt or Poop?" or a similar gross game?

  1. I thought of you and your sleeping habits last night and early this morning. I dont think I slept more than one hour at a time last night. I was sick so I was getting up often and then when I would fall back asleep, Baylee would wake me up to go out! I am surprisingly not as tired this morning as i thought i would be but i guess it will catch up with me later! Is that usually what happens?

    1. Well for me, I can have one night of bad sleep and still function, but not two. How did your day end up? Did you crash when you got home from work? The trick is to NOT NAP. It will mess up the next night...

  3. Yay for more sleep and being able to run outside! Oh yes, I know the dirt or poop game well. There's also the "is that vomit" game. Cats, so fun :)

  4. I like to think I am funny...I make Rick laugh (does that count). Both my sisters are really funny so when my family gets together, OMG, belly ache laughs.

    1. Yes, making your spouse laugh definitely counts!

  5. OMG I often think I hear a cat crying in the middle of the night. Cecil usually sleeps with us, but if I wake up and think I hear a cat crying and I don't see him, I'll go downstairs to check on him and of course it's never him. We are paranoid cat moms!

  6. From upstairs I will look downstairs and sometimes it is a question of 'cat poop or someone's black sock'! I like to think I'm pretty funny although I don't have a talent at telling jokes (my kids do!) but just being funny in other ways.

  7. I totally agree that being told your funny is one of the best compliments! I love having a group of students who can handle me making jokes and being sarcastic.
