I'm finally ready for Christmas.

Related Posts Plugin for WordPress, Blogger... A couple days ago, I told you how I was feeling very overwhelmed and not in the Christmas spirit at all. Well, I'm not feeling super Christmas-y but I no longer feel overwhelmed or stressed!

One of the reasons I feel better is that I sent out ALL of my Christmas cards. Writing Christmas cards takes several hours! I hand write all of the addresses and try to write more than just "love, Megan and Paul" on the inside. But they're DONE and some people probably already received their card!

My friend Kait made these cards.
Check out her Facebook page, KJ Art & Designs.

Also, Paul and I divided up present responsibilities. Normally I take care of all of the presents. This year, he did his family and I did my family. I only have one more present to get and then I am done!

Another reason I feel ready is because I got my icicle lights working and I hung up all of my indoor greenery. I'm completely decorated! (I'll show you in a vlog tomorrow.)

Normally I love doing all this Christmas stuff. Decorating, buying presents, and filling out Christmas cards is usually fun, not stressful.

Christmas comes whether we're ready or not. Physically, I am ready. Mentally, I am getting there.
Do you send Christmas cards?
Does Christmas preparation normally stress you out or do you enjoy it?

  1. Truth be told, I don't send out cards anymore. I used to and it did kind of stress me out. Then one year, I didn't send them (can't remember what we had going on) and I was like "oh, hey...that was kind of nice". And then I never sent them again. I love getting the cards, pictures and letters, though! The rest of the prep is pretty low key. We decorate the house/put up the tree on T-Day (Rick gets the lights up the day before) and then I just have to shop and bake. And that is all done now so I am feeling just ready to go! I am SO happy you got your stuff done, too! I know how you love the holidays so hearing you were not that into it made me sad for you! But this is awesome, my friend!

    1. What do you bake for the holidays? Does Annie mess with the tree? I do have to wrap presents but those will be easy this year because I am gifting a lot of "experiences" instead of presents to wrap.

  2. I am usually MUCH more organized. I haven't sent my cards (but I am planning on getting on it this weekend!) or bought any gifts... I am happy to hear that the Christmas spirit has finally arrived for you (so I have hope the same will happen for me!)
