Knoebel's with the Fam!

Hey all! On Monday, my family took our annual summer trip to Knoebel's Amusement Resort in Elysburg, PA.

There was light rain for the first hour or so, but then the sun came out! It rained again for about a half hour, but the sun came out again. Due to the weather, there were NO LINES, which meant we had an awesome day!

The first thing we do each trip is the carousel!

 Ellie and Clementine

Clark and Nanny

Halle is spending the week with Tyler and Debby via the Fresh Air Fund!

Uncle Paul!

Look at the creek! It was on the brink of flooding.

We heard from an employee that if the creek flooded, the whole park would close. Luckily, it stayed steady and we were able to spend the whole day at Knoebel's. (Knoebel's does often flood, so it's not out of the realm of possibility, especially with the rain off and on throughout the day.)

Clark and Clem on the Kiddie Whip.

This cracks me up!

Tyler and Baby Clark

Halle and Ellie on the Paratroopers

The Skloosh! We weren't scared of the water rides because it was raining anyway!

These Radio Flyers go very high! I loved hearing Ellie screaming with delight!

Time to eat! At Knoebel's, you can pack your own lunch! Very economical for a large family.

 Me and Debby

Tyler and Paul

 Daddio!

 Mommio!

Nanny and Grandpa with Baby Clark

He is an angel.

Rain, Schmain! Put on the rain suits!

Ellie and Hallie on the Hot Air Balloons

Me and Clem on the Hot Air Balloons

Uncle Paul took the girls on the ferris wheel. No one else wanted to get on that think. It goes HIGH and it goes FAST!

All of Clark's pants got wet so...

Tyler and Clem on the Log Flume!

We took a break for puddle jumping!

Then more rides!

Picture time!

I love my family and I love going to Knoebel's!

  1. Glad you had a good time despite the weather. We went on Sunday evening but the concert my pap wanted to see got rained out. I did see on the pole ( my the mini golf course) they were measuring flood levels. They had a mark for 2018 and we joked that they will have to make one that said 2018 part 2. After yesterday I do believe they were closed.

    1. Bummer about your Pap's concert! It is sad that it has flooded so much there. I wonder what the name of that creek is. Time to google...

  2. It looks like you guys had a wonderful time despite the rain. The kids are so cute riding the rides in their little raincoats! It floods here too but people don't really let it stop them from doing things downtown (it is scary when people's homes and cars flood, though, which has happened to several of my friends). Also I love the idea of this park and how family friend and economical it is with packing your own lunch. Glad y'all had a great time!

    1. I know I am biased because they are my nieces and nephews, but I think they are pretty darn cute too!

      Flooding is so scary.

  4. That looks like so much fun... maybe even more fun because of the rain and therefore less crowds!
