Spring Break Highlights!

We had a nice long Spring Break "weekend".
Here are some highlights from my time off- Thurs-Mon!

Enjoying some good wine and playing cards with Paul on Wednesday after piano lessons. Then we gorged on a buffalo chicken sub and fried veggies! Spring Breeeeeak!

Hanging out with some fabulous ladies on Thursday night! It was a delight to see Sue, Lori, and Betty again!

I felt guilty about this... but I ordered 6 puzzles off Amazon. Four arrived on Saturday. I'm going to try to just enjoy my puzzles and not continue to feel guilty about spending money on them! (I normally get them much cheaper at Good Will and Community Aid.)

Going to the movies to see Love Simon with Paul on Friday. You have to go see this movie. It was so touching! The whole theater was crying. (From happiness!) That night we watched Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri. OH. MY. GOSH. It was so freaking good!

Celebrating my Mom's birthday with my family! We had a blast hanging at Tyler and Debby's all day! (They have the big house so we never have to host- hahaha!)

Easter Sunday at my parent's house and visiting with extended family. My family is so loud. I thought it was just me and my mom. No. We are ALL LOUD.

Chrissy's birthday fell on Easter! My baby is 11 years old! He has a little scab on his nose because Jelly beat him up the day before....

Tell me some highlights from your weekend!

  1. Love your mom's party hat!
I was So thankful for 5 days off but there were just so many mishaps over break. Things are starting to get back to normal this week so that makes me happy!
Oh by the way, I saw a puzzles few weekends ago and thought of you. It was a puzzle of all musicals!

    1. Uh oh, I hope we get to hear about the mishaps.

A puzzle of all musicals? Was it the Playbill one?

  2. Don't feel guilty about the puzzles! After you're done with them you can donate them to Goodwill or Community Aid and give back for all the inexpensive puzzles you've been able to get. The people who donate those puzzles might be going to those shops looking for new ones!

The highlight of my weekend was catering Easter dinner at our house from our new favorite BBQ place. The food is honestly so good, they have these sweet potato grits that are the best thing I've eaten in my life. I was so happy to be able to share that food with my family haha!

    1. You know what, that is a really good point about the puzzles! However, I don't think I will donate because I could see myself doing them again in a year or two.

Your Easter food sounds DELISH. Do you always do Easter at your place?

  3. Looks like you had a great time, and lots of family time! We didn't do anything really for Easter/Passover...too much going on this year.
