Just a quick pop in!

Guys, yesterday I had the best run in a LONG TIME. There was no special route- I just ran around my hood and the nearby park. It was snowing, which made it magical, but that's not why it was such a good run. My body felt light and fast, like it used to. It was a feeling I hadn't had in a long time.

I did six miles and didn't feel like stopping, but I had to because we were having company over and I had to cook.

I'm not sure why I had such a great run. Maybe after weeks of bad and ho-hum runs I was just finally due to have a great day.

I'll take it!

When was the last time you had a GREAT run?
I hope most of your runs are great!

  1. My run yesterday was the opposite! I also did 6 but it felt like such a struggle. The snow didnt start until after I had finished running. I've had alot of good runs over the last few months so I guess I was due for a run that wasn't so good.

    1. I am sorry yesterday was a struggle. I hate when that happens on the weekend.

  2. I swear we must be in the only little pocket of the Country that did not get snow yet. The North got snow, the South got Snow, but not us! Running while it's snowing always does feel magical! I'm glad you had a good run. May you be on a "good run" streak from here on out!

  5. Gotta love those amazing days! We had our first snow yesterday and I saw lots more people than usual running. I haven't been running much these days but yesterday was an especially happy CrossFit class, so I'll take that. My fellow members made it that way, though, so I can't take credit!

    1. A good lifting session is awesome too! Laura, do you have a blog?

    2. No, I don't have a blog. I've thought about doing one but I don't feel like I'm consistent enough with anything. It'd be a running/CrossFit/bull terrier/anxiety blog... Do you think there's an audience for that???

    3. I would read that! :) My blog is at this point maybe 10% running, 30% cats, and 60% other random shit. When I first started blogging, it was more running/workout stuff but it's been years now and since I post every day, I need to hit up other topics!

  6. I felt that way yesterday at my 5k! I know I'm having a good run by how my feet sound when they hit the ground. I could barely hear them. Yes! Love that!
