5 Things We Want To Do This Holiday Season

Hey all! I am linking up with Running on Happy and Fairytales and Fitness for Friday 5 2.0!

Today, I'm just going to share 5 things I am excited to do in Central PA this holiday season!

1. Christmas at Longwood Gardens. Even though I have been told I would simply love it, I have NEVER been to Longwood. Christmas at Longwood was on our list last year but we never made it. I would really like to make this one a priority this year!

2. Kitchen Kettle Village. Ana has been telling me about this place in Lancaster for awhile and I figured we may as well go at Christmas time!

3. A Heartland Christmas Wine Trail. There are several participating wineries in Central PA! At the first winery you visit, you get a wine glass and a grapevine wreath. Then at each winery you visit, you make an ornament for your wreath. And you taste wines! I'm most excited to visit these wineries: Broad Mountain, Benigna's Creek, and Red Shale. Paul says, "I'm not making an ornament." I said, "YES YOU ARE!"

4. Candlelight Christmas in Millersburg, PA. My hometown Christmas tree lighting ceremony! Millersburg is a cute little town, and during the holiday season, the streets are lined with mini trees and lights. It's very home-y, and I can't wait to go!

5. ??????????????  Your turn! Tell me what I missed! What MUST we do in the Central PA area this holiday season!?

HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Have you made your December plans yet?

  2. Have you ever been to Strasburg railroad? We took Harrison for his bday and the train is just beautiful. They do Christmas rides and it looks so amazing!

  3. I have no clue what to do where you are- here, I just like getting a cup of hot chocolate and riding around looking at Christmas lights. It's finally FEELING like the holidays here with lower temperatures too. Besides that we have a huge Christmas light festival that is a big deal here and brings in a lot of tourists and locals.

    1. Nice! Will you go to the festival or is it too touristy for you? It is a lot colder today than it has been. I think everyone is feeling their own version of colder than normal temps today!

  4. Those all sound super festive and fun! We've got 16 degree temps and snow gently falling as I type so I'm getting in the Christmas spirit a little early. Haha!

    1. Oooooh stay cozy! It is much colder here today too. Apparently the real feel is 21! That's the coldest we have had yet this year. Now, I bet in about 3 months we will consider 21 warm!

    2. Yes, go while hungry! Kitchen kettle has a ton of samples, and you will able to try everything ! Chips, salsa, jams, jelly, ALL THE PICKLES ! And across the way from kitchen kettle, it's the cheese place, can't skip that one !

  6. I have Longwood Gardens on my list as well but don't know if I want to go at Christmas or in the spring for their flower show. This year's theme was Paris I think. I wanted to go but time just got away from me. I have a list of other cool things at home on my pc. I'll get back to you with a few things. Are you still planning to go to the Kris Kindle market in mifflinburg? I usually skip that because it's always so cold that weekend..haha.
