Friday 5 - Things I Bought For Back to School!

Hey all! I am linking up with Running on Happy and Fairytales and Fitness for Friday 5 2.0!

Today, my theme for Friday 5 is: Things I Bought For BACK TO SCHOOL!

I've been back at school for several days now, but here are some things I purchased before the big day arrived.

I decided to do this post in VLOG format.

Enjoy!

This is my set up for the Vlog... Notice, my phone is propped up with a bottle of vodka! It's low budget here on Cumberland Road!

(No, the vodka was not purchased for back to school but I am sure it will come in handy after a stressful day at work!)

HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Do you like to color?
Do you enjoy back to school shopping?
Favorite drink to unwind after a long day?

  1. What a great Vlog Megan! So, are you going to replace puzzles with coloring this year? :) Those are some cool coloring books!

I share your love of planners. I got a personal one at Walmart and I also ordered one through my school supplies which I always color and make real happy!

    1. Coloring has become something I do when I want to unwind but don't want to think like you have to with a puzzle. So its nice to have options!

I color my work calendar too! Must be a teacher thing. :)

  2. LOVE the 80's coloring book! That was my middle school and early high school years. Note about the flourescent index cards...sharpies don't work well on them. I also love index cards but I don't like the lined ones so much for some of the things I use them for. Also, paper planners only for me, too!

    1. Thanks for the tip about the markers! See I like the lined cards because I have really sloppy handwriting!

  3. Shopping for back to school is so much fun!!

I like the look of your planner, I'm going to look into those.

I buy myself 2 back to school items each summer, last summer I bought a pack of note cards and a sharpie pen. I never used the note cards. This year I got a gel pen and bright pink sticky notes.

  4. OmG! Dying from the coloring the 80s!!!! That is a gem! I also like your cityscape book, too!

I bought an 'advanced coloring book' about 2 years ago and did several and loved it, but haven't worked on it much lately. We need to have a coloring friend date!

    Happy New School Year!

  7. How much do I love that you used a vodka bottle for a prop. I LOVE IT. I'm so looking forward to having drinks again to unwind at the end of the day! I'm going to be a SUPER cheap drunk though--I'll have to be careful! HA ha!

  8. I'm sure the vodka will come in handy on those stressful days. I normally drink wine, but I also have hard cider when I want something different. I workout first to blow off some steam, then rehydrate with water, then my adult beverage of choice.

    1. If I didn't enjoy running so much in the morning, I could see how it would be helpful to blow off steam after work!

  9. I just can't do the google calendars! Luckily, work doesn't make me. But our secretaries use it.
