Friday 5!

Hey all! I am linking up with Running on Happy and Fairytales and Fitness for Friday 5 2.0!

Today I'm going to share 5 things I'm looking forward to this weekend! This is gonna be short and sweet, guys!

My week... ugh. I am seriously going to have a nervous breakdown before the school year is over. I'm serious. On Thursday afternoon I nearly had to call someone to my classroom because I thought I was going to have a panic attack. I thought I was going to die. That's what a panic attack feels like right!?

Okay, done complaining. Just one more day of work and the weekend will be here. And I am looking forward to...

1. Paul's Chili Cook Off! Paul is in a Chili Cook Off that takes place tomorrow at Millersburg's 28th Annual Cherry Blossom Festival. I tried his chili... it is the best chili you will ever eat in your life! Come by his booth tomorrow for a sample!

2. SLEEP. I had to get up at 4:30 twice this week so I could go to my PT appointment before work. I look forward to not setting my alarm on Sunday!

3. Sushi. I literally just decided that I WILL be eating sushi this weekend.

4. Catching up on blogging. I have a lot of great post ideas and I'm hoping this weekend I have time to actually write them!

5. Mentally recharging. I need to come into next week with a new outlook or I am not going to make it until June.
HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have you ever had a panic attack? What does it feel like?

Have you ever entered a food making competition?

What are YOU looking forward to this weekend?

  1. What was it about this week that made it so stressful? I thought now that the musical was over you'd be on the easy road to the end of the year!

I think May is the longest month. The end is near, there's the light at the end of the tunnel...but it seems to get farther away each day instead of nearer. My kids finish May 26. I have DC May 17-19. May 24-26 are half days. And yet...May feels SO LONG.

I hope you have a restful weekend!

    1. Mainly, the behavior of the students and their lack of preparedness for my class which not only is disrespectful to me, but then gives me A LOT more work to do.

I thought May was going to be a cake walk. We are done June 9th. It will be here soon.

  2. Ugh...a panic attack. My sister had one many years ago and wound up in the hospital--really scary. I hope all is OK! I think sushi this weekend sounds fabulous. Good luck to Paul with his chili cook-off! We have one every year at work and it's so much fun. Always really tasty chili recipes submitted!

    1. Aw that is so sad. I hope your sister can manage them. My goal is to manage my stress level today and not let it get so bad.

    2. Oh, yeah...it was a one time deal for her. She learned a lot after that.

Is Paul's Chili sweet or spicy?

    1. It's like spicy and then sweet. So weird, two flavors in succession!

  4. I almost texted you in the middle of the night last night because I was having huge anxiety issues and couldn't sleep, and you're the ONLY person that I could think of that settled my mind down a bit. Because I know how many nights you sometimes only get a couple hours of sleep (that was me last night) and then you survive. So I took comfort in knowing that you've done it, then I can too. I have a full-blown anxiety disorder but I don't think I've ever had a panic attack (I get sweaty, SO anxious, feelings of dread, like I'm going to die, but I never have rapid breathing, hyperventilating, etc).

    1. Ugh I am so sorry you couldn't sleep. It is the WORST. It's almost a relief when the sun is finally out and you can get out of bed, right? Hang in there today.

  5. Girl, the countdown is ON until Summer. But get some rest this weekend- I think if you can get some sleep you will be much better off. It's stressful because of your PT issues along with the end of the school year, so it's all kind of piling on at once I guess. And good luck to Paul in the chili competition!

    1. PT is a double edged sword. It is helping and I enjoy it, but it takes 20 min to get there and my appts are over an hour sometimes! Which is good, I feel like they are spending quality time with me, it's just these 7am appointments mean a lot less sleep.

  6. I hope that you are having a better Friday!! It's almost done!! then weekend!! You got this!!

What time is the chilli cook-off? Best of luck to Paul, based on your review, I bet he will do amazing!

I had a panic attack when I was 10, it felt like I couldn't breath, like my heart was going to jump out of my chest, and like I was going to die.

    1. I think they are cooking between 9-1pm. It won't take him that whole time so then people can come around and pay $1 for samples. The judges need a quart.

Aw what caused you to have a panic attack at age 10?

  8. I think getting more sleep will help you. It's almost the end of the school year, and I'm sure the students feel it too. I feel sorry for my teachers because after a point, we weren't paying attention. We had to in high school because of finals, but before that, yeah, we were stinkers.
