5 Things I Felt Guilty About This Week

Hey all! I am linking up with Running on Happy and Fairytales and Fitness for Friday 5 2.0!

Today I'm going to share 5 things that made me feel guilty this week. I was going to share 5 highlights, but around Wednesday night, I realized I didn't have any highlights yet... and I only had one more day to go. It was very unlikely 5 awesome things were going to happen in one day!

But oh, guilt happens all the time. This week, I felt guilty about...

1. Losing my patience at work. Sometimes, losing patience is justified. There are certain things that no one has the patience for... But I am so impatient that I cannot discern what is justified and what isn't!

2. Stuffing my face with half a box of wheat thins on Tuesday night. It was my dinner though...

3. Skipping tap class. I came home from work EXHAUSTED and borderline sick on Wednesday. I just had no energy. I was scared they would call me and say, "Where are you!!??"

4. Throwing a banana peel away in someone's classroom. I knew it was probably going to be smelly the next day, but I was too lazy to walk somewhere else to throw it away. If your room smelled like banana on Thursday morning, it's my fault. Sorry.

5. Locking Chrissy in the bedroom for three hours on Tuesday. He bit me on Monday, and I wanted to make sure he was totally back to normal, so I had to lock him away while my piano students were at my house on Tuesday evening. He can bite me but he CAN'T BE BITING CHILDREN!
HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are you feeling guilty about anything?
Have any fun weekend plans? I DO! And I WON'T feel guilty about living it up!

  1. I don't think you should feel guilty about these things! Everyone needs to stuff their face with wheat things once in awhile. It could be worse. Hope you have a good and guilt-free weekend!

  2. I would probably feel guilty about locking my pet away too but at the time you were doing what was best!

I had to laugh at "it's unlikely that 5 awesome things would happen in one day". I'm sure every day something awesome happens! You just have to look!

  3. I feel guilty for eating so many Starburst Jelly Beans yesterday. I need to stop with the Easter candy. At least wheat thins are healthier than jelly beans, right?

More than anything, you gotta give yourself some grace. It's been a crazy week for you at work!

  4. I felt guilty on Wednesday when I made a "joking" sarcastic remark to my dad but it was a little "non joking". He just laughed but I did kind of feel bad for it....

    1. Ugh I hate when that happens! Or someone doesn't understand my sense of humor and take it the wrong way..

    2. Yeah...it was a little biting on my side. Kudos to my dad for being so awesome. I can't say I would have laughed if someone had done that to me.

  5. I always feel guilty when I run on the treadmill while Callum stares at the TV or at Netflix on my phone. I usually balance out the guilt by taking him to a part afterward.

  6. It's not guilt, but my dinner Wednesday wasn't healthy. I went to AMC to watch the Boston documentary, and my dinner was chicken tenders and popcorn. Gotta make do with what they have.

  7. OmG! your banana peel story reminds me of something I did! This men at work hates perfume, like even hand sanitizer sets him off. I have worked with him for many years, so I know this is one of the things that irritates him the most.

One day, a couple of years ago, he made me mad. He completely threw me under the bus, and got me in so much trouble. So, for about 2 weeks, I would go to his office, and leave random perfume sample cards in random places in his office, where he couldn't find them, but could smell them. I did not ever feel guilty about it, not even a little bit!

Have a super fun guilt-free weekend!

  8. I think feeling bad for losing patience at work as a teacher is really normal. I (and so many of my colleagues) lose our patience with the kids over such little things and sometimes we're not sure if it's justified or not!

My opinion is that it's MAY! If kids are still being total nincompoops about things they should know by now, it makes sense to lose patience!
