Friday 5 - NYC!

Hey all! I am linking up with Running on Happy and Fairytales and Fitness for Friday 5 2.0!

Today I'm going to share a sneak peak about what we have been doing the past two days... We took a quick trip to NYC to see a live taping of Survivor Know It Alls!

Here are 5 pictures from our trip!

1. We were dead set on going to the after party, so we drank coffee and Diet Mountain Dew all day. Here we are, pre gaming in the hotel!

2. I met Rob Cesternino again!

 3. We made it to the after party! We'll sleep when we're dead...

4. ...And we may die a little earlier because at 1:30am, we ate McDonald's on Times Square!

5. Somehow, I managed to get up at 5:30am the next morning (on only two hours sleep!) to run 7.5 miles in Central Park! I'm a bit delirious on this picture...

I'll talk more about our trip and give you the play by play on Sunday!
HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    1. I know, I can't believe I did that! I would not have run around my neighborhood on 2 hrs sleep but I'll do it in Central Park!

    1. It was fun! I hope to do it in the daytime at some point so I can venture onto some of the more secluded trails. In the morning when it is dark, I stick to the main road that loops the park because there are lots of other runners and bikers on it and I feel safe.

  6. My mom's mantra on vacation is "you can sleep any time." Then I need a vacation from the vacation.

    1. I like your mom's mantra! That's generally how our vaycays go. Two summers ago, we took a 12 day trip that spanned from Denver to San Diego. By the time we got to CA for our last 3 days, we were SO EXHAUSTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  7. I've loved seeing your FB posts about your trip! Hooray for all that caffeine to go to the after party too, love that you pre-gamed with Starbucks and recovered with McD's. Can't wait to read more about your trip when you get back.

  8. What a great trip!!

It is my understanding that it's mandatory to eat McDonalds when one is on a trip, especially to NYC! those fries look delicious!

  11. There is definitely something magical about running in Central Park, but I can't believe you ran 7.5 miles on 2 hours sleep. That's totally crazy to me!

I haven't had McDonalds regular menu food since 2006 so over a decade now! However, I went through a phase last year where I got an iced coffee from them probably every day of the week for a few months. They're so cheap compared to Starbucks! I also sometimes get their egg and cheese bagel in the airport - it's very good!

    1. Nawww he didn't but I didn't expect him too. I just introduced myself and said we met last time but I didn't expect him to remember me. At least he wasn't phoney because he didn't pretend!
