Hey! What's doing on with you?
Here's what's going on with me...

Current Book:  Nothing. I got a bunch of books from the library, read a couple, and racked up a bunch of fines... I wish I made more time to read. There are books that I am actually interested in, but lately I have been filling my spare time with other activities.

Current Podcast: Missing Maura Murray. Guys, I found a new true crime case I am really into! And not only is there a whole podcast about it with over 40 episodes, but there is also a blog about it with tons of content and comments to read!

Current Guilty Pleasure: I feel like I've been eating a lot of junk lately, and the guilt part is overriding the pleasure.

Currently Wearing: My new oxfords! I just love them!

Current Need: To update my car registration!

Current Triumph: I am on a 71 day streak of practicing Spanish! That means I have practiced for at least 20 minutes a day without skipping any days!

Current Wish List: New tap shoes and a tap floor to practice on. The shoes I I have are not super comfortable. I wish I could put taps on my running shoes. I do have wood floors at home that make nice tap sounds but I don't want to ruin them... and they are a bit slippery.

Current Food: We have been eating mushrooms like WOAH.

Current TV Show: Survivor GAME CHANGERS!!! I am glad Ciera got voted out first. She was so cocky. But I am sad Tony is gone. I love him.

Current Drink: SELTZER WATER. I need to drink more water. This is a good way to get me to do that...
Tell me something "current" about you!

  1. So great about practicing your Spanish--you will be ready to head south of the border in no time! Currently watching JRE on You Tube! Currently wearing (well trying) shoes that have a back (i.e. not my clogs) because that is what my PT says is best (still working on foot/ankle strength). Currently (as in right now) eating peanut butter on apple because that is always a part of my breakfast!

    2. Oh, sorry...when we were chatting yesterday I said what it was so I was just being all fancy and abbreviating! I always have apple + peanut butter (along w/ eggs, banana and coffee...yes that is a lot of food/drink and yes, I am able to workout immediately after that. I can't do empty tummy workouts so I have trained my body to "eat and go".

    4. You are lucky--when we travel I am trying to eat really quietly and not wake Rick before I go out for a run.

  2. Drink that water, girl! Those are really cute tap shoes. I need to follow your foreign language lead with German so I'll have a clue when I go to Berlin in September. Hopefully it won't be too bad.

  3. I love your new Oxfords, too! I am so impressed that you've put so much time into learning Spanish. Do you feel you're getting a pretty good grasp on it? Have you practiced speaking it with any Spanish-speakers at work?

I haven't been reading much either lately. I just can't seem to find the energy. Getting into a good book is really like immersing yourself in a new world and I don't have the time for it right now!

    1. I feel like I am getting a good grasp on READING it. I have not spoken with any of the Spanish speaking custodians at school because they are busy and talk really fast! I hope to go for a run with Ana sometime and only speak Spanish! :)

I'm seriously considering buying a sodastream device--we go through LaCroix like crazy over here!

    1. Can you add flavor to that? I am digging the grapefruit seltzer water.

    2. You can! Adam has a soda stream and he loves it. I don't drink soda so I've never tried it but I know he would give it a big endorsement!

  6. I just finished a book called the Sixth Idea, and my mom gave me another current-day mystery to read, called In the Bleak Midwinter. I normally read historical mysteries, but I just look for good stories.

    1. Same! I owe them three dollars and they must really effing need it because they keep emailing me.

    2. Yes! me too! I don't mind paying my fines, but it's annoying that they won't stop harassing me over $4!

    3. I know. I will pay it the next time I want to check out a book. :) I actually don't mind paying library fines, small price to pay for having lots of books at your fingertips. But my books are returned and I don't need the harassment!

  11. I've been listening to this podcast "Missing Richard Simmons." As a Richard Simmons fan (my mom used to have his records. The vinyl ones.), I'm fascinated by this story. There are only gonna be 6 episodes, though, so that's sad.
