1. Eff Jeopardy. We watch Family Feud now. I used to be obsessed with Family Feud when I was a kid. Ray Combs was the host at the time. I'd curl up on my favorite chair at my parent's house and watch it every night. Paul started DVR'ing episodes last week... who knows why!? But we get such a kick out of it. By the way, this is not the family friendly game show I used to watch! It is quite racy now!

2. Tambourine Queen. I had to wear a tambourine on my head to get the first graders to pay attention to me. When the Tambourine Queen comes out, you know I'm out of ideas!

3. Ah, memories! Look as this awesome picture of the Manitou Incline in Manitou Springs, CO. I hiked/ran up this bad boy when we were on vacation last June. It is up there as one of my TOP favorite running experiences! If you are ever in CO, you simply must do the Incline! Spoiler Alert: It was one of the hardest things I have ever done!

4. Super Tuesday. With Trump winning many, many states on Super Tuesday and with him somehow leading in Republican polls, I feel the need to say something to my readers and friends who do not live in The States. Please believe me when I say I do not know how he is winning, I think he is horrible, and I don't know a single person who supports him! He does not represent the majority of Americans. He is bigoted and ignorant. I think he would be extremely dangerous for our country, and the whole world is going to laugh if he is elected our president.

I can't believe I just put a picture of Trump on my blog. I hate myself for that.

5. We can't end on Trump. Chrissy is beautiful.

That is all.
Tell me something random!

  1. I remember loving Family Feud, the very old ones when Richard Dawson was the host! Our family had the Family feud game (not video game), the original board game and we use to play it with our aunts and uncles and it was so much fun! I agree the new TV version has got quite racy. Someone else even mentioned that on TV. Now you have me curious as to what #3 and #5 are on the board!
I have not heard one positive thing about Trump yet he keeps "in the lead". I don't know how that is happening?

    1. Hmmm Volleyball and softball??

We go on youtube and search for "funny family feud moments" and there are so many montages. We just sit and laugh! I did not watch when Richard Dawson was the host but I heard he liked to kiss the women!

  2. OMG that "white dudes" answer is going to have me giggling all morning! I love that one of your best running memories was in Colorado! I kind of like my state a whole lot, too. Random for this week: none of my runs were in my 'hood and it's been bliss. Change of scenery is so good for my soul :)

    1. Yes! Glad you are getting out and about! Man if I lived in CO, I would drive to somewhere beautiful to run every weekend!

  3. The Trump thing is very weird. Chrissy is perfect! That hike looks killer, and I love your tambourine head. Does Paul get you to wear that on Friday nights?

I'm PMing you a picture of Trump that you will love.

  5. I can't believe you're giving up Jeopardy! I never thought I'd hear that from you! haha.

The Trump thing is weird, I agree. This is a very strange election all around and I don't think it's turning out the way anyone planned. Look at Jeb Bush, who people once thought would be the Republican dream child, and has now failed miserably. We live in a very divided, antagonistic society right now and that is being reflected in Trump's rise to the top. Personally I too find his popularity and the potential of him leading the country scary and sad, but I think to understand what's happening we need to look beyond Trump himself and think about the mood of this country and why people might be supporting him. We may not know them, but they're out there. I don't know if you heard but recently, the famously conservative Ben Stein made a comment that he'd rather vote for a Democrat than Trump, and given his conservatism I think that sends a much needed powerful message.

    1. Giving up just for now! We're brain dead these days. Family Feud is what we are missing in our lives right now!

Wow I am surprised Ben Stein said that because you are right he is very conservative. I think part of it is that Trump is preying on people FEARS. Which is sort of ironic because Trump is someone I fear. He divides people more than anyone does. So I'm afraid of him due to his hate speech but also because he has no CLUE how to do any of these supposed things he says he is going to do. Like Mexico is going to pay for a wall. Yeah right. Whether someone is tough on immigration or not, you have to be delusional to think you can get Mexico to pay for a wall. But who knows, maybe Trump will get elected and prove me wrong!

  6. You would LOVE CO! But you have been to Montana and that is beautiful as well. :)

I see what you are saying about Trump, but in the primaries repubs can't vote for Hillary anyway. Or do you mean they are voting for Trump because they think he is the one to beat her?

  7. Gotcha! Well if the noms end up being Hillary and Trump, it is going to be a BLOOD BATH, and honestly I will be excited to watch those debates!

  8. I haven't watched Family Feud in forever! Love the pic with the tambourine on your head...whatever works, right? And I generally don't follow or talk about politics but this Trump stuff is pretty crazy.

    1. I love following politics because I love learning and most recently with this election season, I have loved trying to learn and understand different perspectives and where people are coming from. I listen to all the debates and I try to wrap my mind around how different ideas sound good to different people. It really challenges me too because it forces me to think about what I believe and why I believe or feel it. A lot of soul searching goes on is what I'm saying!

  9. OMG.... white dudes! I'm dying!!! lolololololol

I honestly feel like the whole Trump thing is such a dream. It can't be real, right? >:(

Something random: when I'm on a phone conference I usually put speakerphone on and smile like a crazy while staring at the phone. I heard that you when you're smiling it comes across in your voice so I always smile hard when I'm talking with clients even when I'm annoyed :) :) :).

    2. That makes total sense to smile so that positive tone comes across in your voice! I actually tell my students to smile when they sing at their concerts because it makes their voices sound happy and energetic. And they don't even have to sing louder, just smile!

  11. THANK YOU for ending on Chrissy. I think Trump supporters are honestly the loud minority. I know a handful of his supporters - they're all Matt's relatives - but most people I know abhor him. His numbers are high, but if you look at how many people are turning out to bother to vote, it makes you feel a little better!
