8 Fears

Kristen @ Sweat Courage started a new blog series- 10 Day You Challenge.

Today is 8 Fears!

1. Frankie winning Big Brother 16.
He's just a horrible, vile person who already thinks too highly of himself. I would hate to see how he would behave if he were crowned the winner of Big Brother.

Frankie, stop acting like you are a 12 year old girl and start
acting like a 31 year old man.

2. My cats dying.
I have dreams about this happening. We lost our little Basey Girl almost a year ago and I still cry because I miss her. I don't want to live in a world that doesn't include Christmas and Jelly.

Beautiful Basic! I still remember what her fur feels like.

3. Being murdered/raped/kidnapped.
But if it does happen, I want my case to be featured on Forensic Files. Paul knows this, so don't think it's weird if he gets the ball rolling. It's my final wish.

4. Flying.
I am sure you already know this about me!

5. The movie Paranormal Activity and it's sequels.
I do not believe in ghosts, evil spirits, or any sort of paranormal activity at all. However, the movies still scare the CRAP out of me!

If I ever woke up in the middle of the night and Paul was staring at me
like this I would seriously die of fright.

6. Thrill rides including certain roller coasters.
I used to enjoy rides like this but the older I get, the more I am convinced I will die if I ride them.

7. Not being in control.
As if you didn't know this already.

8. The unknown.
More so the small unknown than the big "what's out there" unknown.
Tell us something that scares you.
Have you seen the Paranormal Activity movies?
Do you ride scary amusement park rides?

  1. I can't watch scary movies and thankfully Rick can't either! I used to so enjoy the rides, but a few years ago, my body decided it was going to the team of "let's get motion sickness on boats and rides, etc" Boooo. I was never that way before (story of my life) so now I just watch everyone else enjoy them.

I am most afraid of losing Rick. I have already lost my mom and this summer, my sister lost her husband suddenly and although I know I would be OK, I just don't want to travel that path. Traveling it with my sister has been such a life lesson.

    1. That is definitely not a path I want to travel either. That's a big fear of mine as well.

  2. MEG! ME TOO on like everything except Frankie and flying. I have always had this completely ridiculous fear that I am going to die because someone breaks into my house and stabs me in my back while I'm sleeping. When I was a kid some nights I would literally stay awake until 4:30 am because I felt like that was the "safe" time where burglars would stop breaking in since people usually start getting up around 5am or so to get ready for work. Mind you I lived in a completely safe neighborhood ... no idea where the fear came from!

    1. Wow I hope you are not scared anymore! I mean, I am scared, but as long as my doors and windows are locked, I feel pretty safe. I even lock my door when kids come in for piano lessons. It's just a habit!

  3. Glad I am not the only one that gets sad thinking about lost pets. It has been two years since we put our one lab down and I still tear up when I think about her at times. -l

    1. Oh I am so sorry. :( Losing a pet sucks. Because they are not just pets.

  4. Yes a lot of your fears are about being out of control. I LOVE roller coasters. The scarier and bigger the better! I have a real fear of puking, and a general fear of going broke. I don't mind scary movies…I used to love them as a kid, but in general I just don't watch that type of movie as much anymore.

  5. #2. ME TOO. It's actually one of my biggest fears. Every time I think about the day my cats will no longer be around I get inconsolably sad :(. What is it about loving someone or something so much that constantly makes us afraid we'll lose them?

    1. Aw I am sorry you feel the same way I do. :( The only bad part about loving animals at that you have to say goodbye to them!

  6. I would be freaked out if I ever woke up to anyone standing and staring at me - I dreamed once that this creepy landlord I had was standing at the foot of my bed staring once and it was so real that I about had a panic attack. I called Chris (we were just dating) and even though it was probably around 1:00am he drove over and stayed the rest of the night with me. I moved out of that townhouse shortly after that (the landlord was going in during the day - really scary!!).

  7. You know my mom always told me how terrifying The Exorcist was when it first came out. She said people were puking in the movie theaters! ID channel stuff scares me too because it is REAL.
