5 Horrible Things That I Love Very, Very Much.

1. Cards Against Humanity

This game will shock you. It will make you laugh. It will make you groan. You will feel horrible laughing at some of the cards, but laugh you will. The tagline on the box says it all... "A horrible game for horrible people." Lest you feel too horrible about your love for CAH, know that they recently donated $100,249.94 to public schools. BAM!

2. Eastbound & Down

Kenny Freaking Powers. He is hilarious. I cringe at his narcissism and ignorance. The good thing about this show is that you're laughing at him and not with him. Synopsis from imdb.com: "Years after he turned his back on his hometown, a burned-out major league ballplayer returns to teach phys ed at his old middle school." You need not be into sports to enjoy this HBO show. But it's not for the faint of heart!

3. Nancy Grace

Why do I love Nancy Grace? Because she is over dramatic. Because of her southern drawl. Because of her outlandishness and over the top behavior. Why is she horrible? For those same exact reasons. Plus she lies and she is hateful. Augh, I feel so terrible for being entertained by her antics!

4. Salt.

Salt in a normal, healthy amount is not bad. But I like salt in huge, unhealthy quantities. I put added salt on everything. Sandwiches, salads, veggies, eggs... I want to stop, I really do. Maybe I could make it a summer goal?

5. Ace of Base- The Sign

"Life is demanding, without understanding..." I loved this song in middle school! I still love it! How can I not? It's so catchy. It makes me want to wear a choker and pseudo-vogue. Funny story: My husband was also obsessed with this song in middle school! We were made for each other!

Tell me something horrible that you love very, very much. I promise not to judge!

  1. I never imagined I would type these words: "I love Ace of Base and Salt too!" Ace of Base plays on the Songza app I use often. My favourite playlist is 'A 90s School Dance!" LOL

  2. I LOVE salt. I am not a sweets person, but I will chow down on some salty food.

I received CAH for Christmas and I am a horrible person too.

  3. I think I "love" Glenn Beck in the same way you love Nancy Grace. A large part of my graduate thesis was largely a rhetorical analysis of his show. What was most interesting to me is how honest he is when asked about his antics. He fully admits that he started as a comedian and does what he does large because that's what people want/what made him popular/pays his bills/made him rich.

He has never explicitly stated that he doesn't believe what he says on the show (that I know of) , but I personally want to believe it's just part of his act. He seems like a much smarter person than his target audience.

    1. What a cool topic for your thesis! That is interesting that he owns about to his outlandishness. Nancy totally does not do that.

  4. I love some really trashy TV shows. Right now that show is Honey Boo Boo. I'm sorry, I know it's tragic, but it's the train-wreck effect, it's so bad I just can't look away!

  5. Nelly Country Grammar is unapologetically my favorite song on my iPod. I get way too freaking excited anytime it comes on while I'm running. Yes, it's been like 15 years. Whatever. Still so much love.

  6. That Ace of Base album was my first CD EVER (other than the Labyrinth soundtrack). I'm not even embarrassed by the joy it brings me.

    Also, CAH. Yes!

    2. Same here :-/
A couple years ago, one of my friends told me that her husband didn't like Lifetime movies because in most of them, the women are victims of men (they always make the man look bad, whether he's a wife beater, cheating on his wife, etc.). After she pointed this out, I realized she was right! Someone must have called them out on it though, because it appears that now they just do movies on ALL the crazies, lol.

  10. Two thoughts:
    - My wife got the Ace of Base CD as part of a BMG Music Club sign-up bonus when it was new (remember those?) Didn't get much play in our apartment then, not sure if it has been played in 20 years, just moved from house to house :) But it IS a catchy pop song - nothing wrong with that!
    - Salt - my wife is a major salt-head, but actually needs the sodium and has low blood pressure, So she gets a total pass - wonder if that is true for you?
