It's a resistance thing. Sit in a chair at a table. Push up on the table edge like you were trying to flip the table over (hand underneath the table). Put as much resistance on it as you can without pain. Hold that for 30 seconds, 5 reps... do 3 times a day. Bicep isometrics. It worked for me!<br />Our old mattress was supposed to be flipped and rotated, but the new one you don't flip. Are you still supposed to flip mattresses?<br /><br />The shoulder hurt Saturday morning and the race was Sunday, so I know it was from sleeping. I have been warning the students that I can't do all of our dance moves due to injuring my shoulder sleeping. They're like, "Sleeping!?" W...I had a heck of a time this year with sleeping. We realized our mattress was 18 years old and I was waking up sore every morning in January. In the month before, it was not an issue. Just all of a sudden! Alan had a few sore mornings too! Finally we bought a new mattress and haven't had a problem since. However, I also had a sore arm and was trying everything not to sleep the wrong way with it (above me head, trapped underneath me). Then finally I told the PT lady about my arm pain and got a super simple exercise. I felt better within a week of doing the exercises! Yippie! Maybe the arm pain is a DOMS pain from your race?
