Trainer Tip: 1. Make a goal. 2. Make a plan. 3. Stick with it.

Don't hold yourself back or limit yourself. What is it that you really want? SAY IT! Say it out loud! Write it down! Accept that this is what you want, and not only are you worthy of this goal, you CAN do it if you absolutely really want to.

A goal without a plan is... nothing. You may be able to make your own plan, but if you need the help of a professional- do it! Having structure and a step by step process to reach your goal is essential. Remember, the plan must be effective. Do not be afraid to reevaluate your plan every few weeks and see if it needs tweaked or even overhauled.

Results don't happen overnight. It could take weeks, months, even years. But stick with it. Success is not about making the right choice 100% of the time- it’s about the big picture. There may be a few steps back here and there, but that is okay. It's part of the process. But over the long term, there should be more steps in the right direction than in the wrong direction.

I don't care what your goal is. Whether it is to lose 50lbs, run a marathon,  do 10 push ups… whatever it is, IT IS YOUR'S FOR THE TAKING!

  4. This is a timely post as I am retooling my own goals :)

That's why running is so near and dear to my heart - it's been the one area in my life when I've actually been able to make a goal and FOLLOW THROUGH! Seeing results is so addicting

  5. Sticking with a goal is the hardest part because we live in a culture of instant gratification! But it's so cool to look back and realize how far you've come.

    1. I agree! Who doesn't like instant gratification!? Hopefully there are little bits of small gratification on the way to the big pay off!
