I have two SCARS from where the world's worst sports bra chafed me during a long run. They are exactly where Eve's paw tattoos are and always remind me of that lol

http://www.sheknows.com/beauty-and-style/celebrity-style-gallery/celebrity-tattoos/eve-paw-tattoosKristina @ Blog About Runninghttp://www.blogaboutrunning.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6003023702428993428.post-61484303845190999912014-07-19T13:53:37.931-04:002014-07-19T13:53:37.931-04:00You know on the other hand, I couldn't imagine...You know on the other hand, I couldn't imagine going on vacation in CO and NOT running because of the beautiful scenery. So I guess there are two sides to the coin! I don't blame you for wanting to run at sea level. :)Meg Go Runhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11707890742715926971noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6003023702428993428.post-40882384499413496832014-07-19T13:51:52.248-04:002014-07-19T13:51:52.248-04:00You know what is funny- my BACK hurt the next day ...You know what is funny- my BACK hurt the next day from either the burpees, mtn climbers, or BOTH.Meg Go Runhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11707890742715926971noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6003023702428993428.post-90240256539565810112014-07-19T13:51:15.631-04:002014-07-19T13:51:15.631-04:00I know you have to deal with some horrible humidit...I know you have to deal with some horrible humidity. I smell like an old man but whatever....I do anyway cuz all the ben gay & icy hot I use at night.

Rest on vacation is something I just started these past few years and it works out great. Number one, I don't have to worry about packing workout gear, Rick doesn't have to worry about me running in an unfamiliar place, I get the rest I need and it's not really hard (we both struggle with rest days) because I am focused on other things. Because we are so active, I am still walking around, swimming in pools and sometimes I do push ups and crunches but really I just see it as a good time to let my body heal. There is exception to this. When we stay at an all inclusive in Mexico I sometimes get up (maybe 2 mornings) and do a quick 2 mile run around the resort (which is gated and very safe). I can't help it -- it's gorgeous, I am up and it's sea level so I want to feel that "easy on the lungs" run we don't get living here!!Susannoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6003023702428993428.post-5227623188804503332014-07-19T11:41:24.334-04:002014-07-19T11:41:24.334-04:00The heat - but mostly the humidity - makes me feel...The heat - but mostly the humidity - makes me feel out of shape, too. I try not to worry about pace or anything in the summer. Also, 25 burpees repeated four times!! You are a beast. I avoid burpees at all possible costs. I have some PTSD when it comes to them thanks to a 100 day burpee challenge I completed once.NotRachemhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05535369819272842179noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6003023702428993428.post-90123028815141938202014-07-19T10:10:58.792-04:002014-07-19T10:10:58.792-04:00That is a great idea to take your rest when you ar...That is a great idea to take your rest when you are on vaycay, then you can really relax and enjoy. :) I am totally using your speed stick idea today because I am going for a run and I HAVE that, but I do not have body glide or vaseline. I just use speed stick deodorant (not antiperspirant) -- it's this gel like formula that really works for me (and it's cheap).

I take weeks off at a time when we travel. In February I took 9 days off while we went to Panama. I feel the break is really good for my body but they key for me is not coming back too quickly. Which I did and ended up with a hip that was really mad at me for about a month.

I always tell myself "rest is when you make your gains".Susannoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6003023702428993428.post-24195655197850584142014-07-19T06:48:21.971-04:002014-07-19T06:48:21.971-04:00Ouch! Across my back and the front of my chest are unusual places I've chaffed.....back was a result of my water belt and chest was from stashing Gels in my sports bra...lol. I take rest weeks when I'm sick or post marathon. I should take them more but I'm stubborn. Girl Goes Runninghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03007470602143669184noreply@blogger.com
